Let’s be honest, it’s been another rubbish year but that doesn’t mean we can’t end it in style. As Christmas approaches, we present the very first MH-approved Quiz, sponsored by Samsung, with questions covering updates in health, sport and pop culture over the past year, as well as the lives and legacies of our cover stars. In the studio we have editor Scott Henderson facing off against digital editor Nikolina Ilic. But don’t leave them to have all the fun: get together with mates over the festive period and join in from home.
The traditional gym model is changing and with it, so is our relationship with exercise. In this special episode of Ask Men’s Health, powered by Samsung, we speak to Shaun Townsend, exercise physiologist at the innovative Lockeroom Gym in Sydney, to discuss the changes to the fitness industry over the past year; the value of in-person training versus remote; and what the future of fitness looks like.
We've saved the best 'till last. For the final episode of the first season of 'Ask Men's Health', we are joined by sexologist and relationship expert Dr Nikki Goldstein. On the agenda are questions on communication, setting boundaries, consent and in what ways COVID has impacted our sex lives. (Clue: it's not what you might think.)
You asked, we delivered. After being inundated with questions on plant-based eating, we're back with a bumper episode dedicated entirely to the subject. With podcaster and author Simon Hill as our guest, we breakdown what the evidence says about why plant-based eating is so beneficial not just for us but the planet, too. Simon also offers some tips on transitioning from a meat-based diet and lists his favourite plant-based sources of protein. A must-listen for those of us tempted to ditch the meat in favour of a more sustainable way of life.
