**The audio cuts out a bit in the beginning but only briefly**Well member Jim Behm talks about his involvement with UMCOR (United Methodist Committee On Relief umcmission.org) and how much it means to those that are the victims of disaster to have people come in to aid them in their clean up efforts when they would be unable to afford it otherwise. Tornados, hurricanes, fires, etc happen out of our control all the time, and UMCOR is there to connect the people to the mission and help around the world. For the month of June, The Well is collecting supplies for Tornado kits that UMCOR is distributing in the month of July. Find all the information on how you can donate or help assemble 40 kits through The Well! https://thewellmn.church/umcortornadokits/Join a response team: https://umcmission.org/serve-with-umcor/https://umcmission.org/united-states-disaster-response/
The Rosemount Family Resource Center is located just down the road from The Well! They support the surrounding community with a large Food Shelf and once school gets out, the families they serve have an increased need with kids at home! Tammy B gives a short history about how The Well has been involved and how much the resource center is needed in the community - look below for how you can help! They need more grab-n-go options, such as gatorade/powerade (it's HOT out there, they need replenishing fluids!), granola bars, fruit, and more! Also throughout the summer, in July and August they also start their school supply drives Find their most needed items here: https://360communities.org/food-drive/our-needs/They are also ALWAYS in need for volunteers to help stock shelves and organize items as families come in and shop for their needs. They have professional workers who direct you so you just have to show up and they'll give you a job to help! This is a GREAT opportunity for kids to show up in their community and learn more about giving back. Find the sign ups here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/20f0d4fafaa2fa5fa7-rosemount4

How impactful is mobility? In the developed world, mobility is often taken for granted, or in many cases (though there are vast improvements still to be made) we've learned to make helpful accommodations with ramps and high quality wheel chairs. But what about in the developing world, where roads are unpredictable and your standard wheelchair is insufficient. Mobility Worldwide is doing something about this! In Episode 5 of Local to Global, Lindsey connects with Mark Moffit, who has been volunteering at the Twin Cities Mobility Worldwide shop for five years. Mark's passion pours through, as he tells stories about lives changed. For more information and to see videos of the impact of Mobility Worldwide...https://mobilityworldwide.org/https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eq9XoLMGdso&t=2shttps://mobilityworldwide.org/affiliates/minnesota-twin-cities/
