As an accomplished keynote speaker, Tyler has delivered over 300 presentations and captivated audiences ranging from school children to former presidents with his powerful stories. At just 18 years old, Tyler became an Ironman triathlete, setting the stage for his passion for adventure and pushing the limits. He's since combined this love for adventure with his creative eye as a travel and aerial photographer, shooting in over 20 countries including India, Japan, Cambodia, and Spain. Prints of his photos and his paintings can be found hanging in countless homes and businesses.Tyler is best known for his compassionate works, and his dedication to helping people, especially children, overcome their struggles. He spent five years working as a youth crisis intervention specialist where he designed custom experiences that improve emotional intelligence and self-belief.  He is happily married to his wife Lauren, and they share a love that inspires his passion for officiating weddings. During the summer Tyler works as a high-end landscaper, something his family has done for generations. On today's episode of Storytelling with a Purpose we are joined by Lynne Algrant, the  Vice President for Planning, Development & Communications at Greater Bergen Community Action, a $37 million anti-poverty organization serving Bergen County and northern NJ.Prior to joining GBCA, Lynne served as CEO of Bergen Volunteers for five years. In January 2017, she was named one of the 17 people to watch in 2017 by The Bergen Record and Northjersey.com.  In February 2020, she was awarded the Community Service Award by the County Executive, Board of Chosen Freeholders and the Bergen County African American Advisory Committee. From 2010 through 2015, Lynne served as the Councilmember-at-Large for the City of Englewood, NJ and was elected by her peers to serve as Council President for two years. She has a BA in English and History from Emory University, where she was one of the first Woodruff Scholars.  She has an MA in English from Rutgers, where she was a University Graduate Fellow. On today's episode of Storytelling with a Purpose we are welcoming Mike Lee, Deputy Director of Brand and Creative at Team Rubicon. Mike Lee, a native of Chicago, graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a degree in Creative Writing. At LMU, Mike developed international and domestic volunteer trips and served as the Volunteer Coordinator for the Student Veterans Organization. Mike’s professional background is in advertising and marketing, and has experience in executing large print and digital campaigns for non-profit and tourism clients. On today's episode of Storytelling with a Purpose we are joined by Patrick Duggan. Patrick Duggan is the Director of Marketing and Communications for Pacific Community Ventures. In this role, he drives all of PCV’s marketing initiatives across the organization’s many programs. This includes PCV’s marketing campaigns, content strategy, brand direction, public relations, and marketing channels such as PCV’s web properties, print materials, events, social media, and newsletters.Prior to working at PCV, Patrick served as Digital Marketing and Product Marketing Manager at TechSoup Global, where he planned and implemented their integrated marketing strategy. This involved developing campaigns, digital strategy, email communications and newsletters, and content marketing. He also fostered new partnerships with fellow capacity-building nonprofits, and developed the marketing capacity of TechSoup’s global network, promoting an organization-wide communication strategy.Patrick holds a BA in literature and publishing from Emerson College in Boston, MA, as well as an MFA from California College of the Arts in San Francisco, CA.Want to be featured on a future episode or have a question for us?
