We live in a world where being a single mother is often times looked down upon. Whereas our male counterparts would be praised and deemed as heroic because of playing their respective roles. We have to go through our day to day lives constantly having to prove ourselves because of the different stereotypes that are attached to being a single mother. This week I want to talk of the harsh reality that I experienced once I became a mother as well as motivate us in how we as parents can overcome these labels and learn how to look forward to the better days ahead coming ahead of us.
After last week's episode where we discussed the ins and outs of alcohol on our bodies, I wanted to get a little bit more personal this week. On this episode I tell you about how it was until I got to the point where I realised ALCOHOL HAS TO GO! It wasn't the easiest journey but I found myself and I decided to finally walk away in order for me to start living in my true purpose. I may have lost myself during my drinking spree but its never too late to start again. So listen up and if it relates to you, a family member or a friend share it with them. Dont be scared of how it may afffect your relationship afterwards always remember, ''Honest Advice doesn't Destroy True Friendship.''
On this week's episode I teamed up with Dr. Winluck Shayo to talk about alcohol consumption and how it effects our bodies. We tackled myths and truths as well as the effects that alcohol has on our bodies. Its no secret that nowadays more than ever there are more and more youths that are unintentionally abusing alcohol and some may even unknowingly be experiencing withdrawal symptoms. Take a ride with us on this three part series to understand better your preferred poison.
For this week I thought I would do something different. I made a record last week but due to technical diffulties uploading episodes was a nightmare. Anyway tune in, lets talk childhood fun and lifetime lessons that we took from our Queens, our lovely mothers.

Gift of Loneliness

Gift of Loneliness

In this first episode I wanted to talk about the perks of loneliness. Personally I never truly felt lonely because I was always surrounded with people until I was faced with a situation where I had to be alone and face myself, my thoughts and my emotions. I noticed that for most of us we may have gotten pretty lonely during this pandemic but what about before it all began. We have all been there so let’s look at the other side of the coin.
