Description

We share our hearts behind each of the songs we have written as well as speak on our experiences as worship leaders. Our hope is the same here on this podcast as it is with our music; and that is to point people upward and inward as we explore the nuances of faith and devotion to the way of Jesus.

How would you describe the "withness" of God? Do you have a simple answer or a complex one? It's wild to think about and just might be much simpler and more beautiful than the way Mitch tries to tease out in realtime. LOL. We hope you find this episode meaningful and some way and that you'd feel peace knowing that God stops at nothing in pursuit of you.Listen to You Go With MeVBS 2022 Connect with us!Email: mitchandkristenmusic@gmail.com Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/mitchandkristenmusic/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/mitchandkristenTikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@mitchkrebs

Our second single "God of Grace" is out and this episode gives the backstory of the season of life it was written from. We talk about experiencing anxiety and the stressor that opened the floodgates to panic attacks. Talking through those memories together allowed a resurfacing of feelings we haven’t felt in a long time. You Go With Me (VBS Kids Version): https://open.spotify.com/track/4ycVkvxiC2aUVrvbY2BRpg?si=a81b4ce2a619418fThis is Amazing Grace by Jeremy Riddle (Superior Version):  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bn5zk3yCRr0Connect with us! https://linktr.ee/mitchandkristenmusicOther songs in this episode:https://soundcloud.com/mitchkrebs/almost-friendshttps://soundcloud.com/mitchkrebs/something-familiar
A force of countless abilities (one being able to drink 16+ cups of coffee a day) Tom is the most go-getter and unstoppable machine of a man we have ever met. This episode can't convey the fullness of all Tom Boscamp embodies. "Constrained" is the word that comes to mind when we think of the limitation of what an audio podcast could deliver.Of what really felt like a decade, Tom was our mentor and worship pastor for two years. Two years may seem insignificant, but if you throw two naive seventeen year olds into a stewing cauldron of purity culture, authoritarian leadership, religious/emotional abuse, hushed conversations and crazy amounts more, you get an interesting soup served. When Tom stepped into frame, he became a shelter and even a guard in some aspects by way of experiencing firsthand what we could have. In this final episode of this series' first installment, we get to hear Tom's experience from his perspective which brings out memories for us a long the way during the interview. We're thankful that there is hope and a beautiful silver lining interwoven in Tom's story that he was able to see. Tom works closely with U.S. Veterans as the Veterans Service Coordinator at Coastline Community College and is often somewhat of an emotional first responder to them as you'll hear. Contact him at tboscamp@coastline.edu if you have any questions or know of a veteran in need. Here's some of his tracks from back in the day. https://soundcloud.com/thomas-boscampConnect with us!https://linktr.ee/mitchandkristenmusicListen to and share God of Grace.https://open.spotify.com/track/5kwOrPTbA3MOzgPixLbMFu?si=cd6673cba48b4b15
In this episode, we get into the hilarious details of our young love. We share about our first interaction with each other, our "pre-engagement" commitment (cringe or cute?), and how our church leaders and many of our peers rejected our relationship. We pontificate on purity culture themes and found ourselves unable to hold back laughter at our younger selves. Don't worry, we validated and showed compassion to those kids as well...Pre-save our new song "God of Grace" on Spotify.https://distrokid.com/hyperfollow/mitchandkristenkrebs/god-of-graceOur links!https://linktr.ee/mitchandkristenmusicBrand New's song "Soco Amaretto Lime"https://open.spotify.com/track/36RXg45Te0xyC4MEwZSG77?si=1eb876b6f3104380
Our song The Cross of Christ is available to stream wherever you listen to music! This is the first of many singles to come as well as Upward & Inward episodes that will explore behind the song(s); taking a deeper look into what inspired the initial theme, lyrics and even musical choices. As we unpack The Cross of Christ, we hear Mitch's journey with doubt, certainty and how the original idea of the song began with the hope of writing it for pastors/clergy who experience burnout/doubt. Thankfully, Kristen used her referee power to help keep it general enough for anyone to connect with. Hope you enjoy the conversation.Becoming New VBS song Mitch referenced: https://open.spotify.com/track/6RJmBhIBvQfbVsGNOfiY23?si=8d9efc8c50f44809Connect with us!Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/artist/5KUMuwjnxx3dnyk9bLHBuL?si=-AQ3-KDtR_-UrXG7ADaLUgEmail: mitchandkristenmusic@gmail.comInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/mitchandkristenmusic/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/mitchandkristenYoutube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCTDn3mGoX6FBcQ7szq1JjMw
Welcome to our very first episode! In this episode we share a little bit of the origins of our journey in becoming who we are today. We touch on our musical backgrounds, our youth band, leading for "Big Church" for the first time and tease what is to come in future episodes. We're excited to see what this conversational platform will bring out of us and perhaps even yourself. First song Mitch ever led for a main service: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gp42WHmBS_k  Connect with us!Email: mitchandkristenmusic@gmail.comInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/mitchandkristenmusic/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/mitchandkristenYoutube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCTDn3mGoX6FBcQ7szq1JjMwSpotify: https://open.spotify.com/artist/5KUMuwjnxx3dnyk9bLHBuL?si=-AQ3-KDtR_-UrXG7ADaLUg
