Hey friends!  On this podcast, we will be talking about all thing’s crime. From murder, to missing persons, to mass shootings, to just plain old spooky! Layered with some lighthearted humor...and some not so lighthearted humor. Please be advised that this podcast is filled with adult content and explicit language; listener discretion is advised.      Today’s episode is our first one of spooky season! We are doing a throwback to a creep in the night…  In the fall of 1888, an area in the East End of London called Whitechapel was rampant with poverty, violence, and women engaging in sex work to survive. With all this happening, a sudden string of brutal murders began to occur with women being found with their throats slashed and major trauma to their abdomens. These women were known for being involved in sex work and many of them were struggling with alcohol dependency. No evidence was ever left behind and the majority of these women were found very shortly after they were murdered. All police knew was that the killer used a 6–8-inch blade, was a man, the direction of the neck wounds, and that the murders occurred on or around weekends and holidays. With nothing to go on, media received a letter from someone who had knowledge about the murders and had named himself, Jack the Ripper. Who was this Jack? Was he caught? Listen to find out!   Trigger warning: episode contains graphic descriptions of crime scenes and victims. Please take time out of your day to all the victims from this case:1.     Emma Elizabeth Smith – April 3rd, 18882.     Martha Tabram – August 7th, 18883.     Mary Ann Nichols – August 31st, 18884.     Annie Chapman – September 8th, 18885.     Elizabeth Stride – September 30th, 18886.     Catherine Eddowes – September 30th, 18887.     Mary Jane Kelly – November 9th, 18888.     Rose Mylett – December 20th, 18889.     Alice McKenzie – Julye 17th, 188910.  Frances Cole – February 13th, 1899 Resources:  https://www.history.com/topics/british-history/jack-the-ripperMorbid Podcast https://www.jack-the-ripper.org/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lADBHDg-JtAMusic:        “H&E Home” by Devil Music        From – Free Music Archive        CC-BY-NC-ND    Please follow us on Instagram @abreathoffreshcrime for updates and content.  Please feel free to message us on Instagram or email us at abreathoffreshcrime@hotmail.com if you have any suggestions of cases you want to hear or if you have any feedback for us on the cases already covered!  Stay spooky and enjoy! After more than a decade of denials, he confessed to 30 homicides, committed in seven different states between 1974 and 1978. His true victim total is unknown, and could be much higher.   Ted was regarded as handsome and charismatic, traits that he exploited to win the trust of victims and society. He was a successful white collar man, who no one could ever suspect of doing such horrific crimes. But lets be real, he took weird to a new level in the 1970’s changing law enforcements view and practice around serial killers and crime forever. Trigger warning: This is Ted Bundy, lets just say the whole case is a trigger warning and call it even. However, this a lot of explicit humour and inappropriate laughter in the episode.  Resources:  Stranger Beside Me by Anne Rule Morbid Podcast Netflix show: Ted Bundy Tapes https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ted_BundyMusic:        “H&E Home” by Devil Music        From – Free Music Archive        CC-BY-NC-ND    Please follow us on Instagram @abreathoffreshcrime for updates and content. Please feel free to message us on Instagram or email us at abreathoffreshcrime@hotmail.com if you have any suggestions of cases you want to hear or if you have any feedback for us on the cases already covered!Stay spooky and enjoy!Sheeya Latah!

Joe was executed in 1939 for the crime of rape and murder despite being innocent. He was quoted as being the “happiest man on death row” due to him being intellectually disabled with an IQ of 46. Joe enjoyed playing with his trains and became very close to the warden, Roy, while in jail. He did not have the capacity to understand most things in life but was still convicted of a well-planned crime that even state psychiatrists said he couldn’t have done due to his capacity. How did this happen to Joe? Was the real killer convicted? Hey friends! On this podcast, we will be talking about all thing’s crime. From murder, to missing persons, to mass shootings, to just plain old spooky! Layered with some lighthearted humor...and some not so lighthearted humor. Please be advised that this podcast is filled with adult content and explicit language; listener discretion is advised. This week, we are discussing the missing persons case of Natalee Holloway. After graduating high school in 2005, Natalee went on a grad trip with her class to Aruba. On May 30th, 2005, around 1:30am, Natalee was last seen leaving a club with Joran van der Sloot and brothers Deepak and Satish Kalpoe. There have been no sightings since this and all of Natalee’s belongings were found in her hotel room. Joran has been the main suspect since the beginning and constantly changes his story about what potentially happened that night. No one has ever been officially charged with the murder or disappearance of Natalee and she was declared dead in absentia in 2012. What happened to her and who is responsible for her disappearance? Listen to the episode and find out and give us your thoughts and feedback on the case! Episode 9: Bruce McArthur

Episode 9: Bruce McArthur

Hey friends! On this podcast, we will be talking about all thing’s crime. From murder, to missing persons, to mass shootings, to just plain old spooky! Layered with some lighthearted humor...and some not so lighthearted humor. Please be advised that this podcast is filled with adult content and explicit language; listener discretion is advised.   Happy Pride month! In honor of pride month, we will be covering cases that were catalysts for change in the LGBTQIA2+ community, cases that weren’t investigated due to their connections to the community, and cases that were blatantly ignored due to homophobia. We want to highlight the adversity’s this community has and continues to face as well as the absolute strength and resilience shown throughout history and today. For our last Pride month episode, we discussed the weird psycho that is Bruce McArthur. He killed in Ontario, Canada from 2010-2017, targeting members of the LGBTQIA2+ community and other marginalized populations taking 8 lives and is suspected to be involved in many cold cases. Bruce was able to continue killing for several years due to police bias towards the LGBTQIA2+ community and, in our opinion, due to some racist feelings within the police department. Our hearts are with the victims that were lost and with those that luckily survived.  Please take a moment to remember the men that lost their lives and the others who nearly lost theirs:  Abdulbasir Faizi, age 42 Majeed “Hamid” Kayhan, age 58 Skandaraj “Skanda” Navaratnam, age 40 Soroush Mahmudi, age 50 Andrew Kinsman, age 49 Selim Esen, age 44 Dean Lisowick, age 43-44 Kirushna Kumar Kanagaratnam, age 37 All victims who were assaulted and survived WARNING: this episode contains very dark humor and inappropriate laughter Resources:  https://www.theguardian.com/world/2021/apr/13/toronto-serial-killer-bruce-mcarthur-police-investigation-report https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/epstein-report-bruce-mcarthur-toronto-police-1.5986451 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G_Ll6tsmI7k Music:     “H&E Home” by Devil Music     From – Free Music Archive     CC-BY-NC-ND Please follow us on Instagram @abreathoffreshcrime for updates and content. Please feel free to message us on Instagram or email us at abreathoffreshcrime@hotmail.com if you have any suggestions of cases you want to hear or if you have any feedback for us on the cases already covered!Stay spooky and enjoy!Sheeya Latah!
