One of the most profound spiritual trips that I have ever embarked on had to have been my trip through Transylvania. At the time, I was going through some spiritual changes, and the dark eerie atmosphere of Romanian spiritualism took hold, from the trek through the Carpathian Mountain sides exploring the very Castles where Vlad the Impaler was either imprisoned or lived, to the most haunted forest in the world there are many events that to this day stand out. Along the way – I met some very powerful witches who live on the outskirts of Bucharest and experienced a small ritual performed at the legendary witch’s pond outside of Bucharest.Locals do not dare touch these waters because of the powers it is said to possess. This pond is small, more like an oversized puddle.It is said to be bottomless, in that anything thrown into the lake disappears – no matter how big the object isThe cursed water is said to bring curses upon anyone who dares touch the water or take it.The water level never changes, even through floods and droughts.And most importantly, it is said that Vlad Tepes met his end at this pond and was beheaded. His evil spirit is believed to have been poured out into the pond –One of the things I did during my journey through Romania was witness a gathering of witches at the Witches Pond for one of their ceremonies to appease the spirits. In this episode of Small Town Tales Podcast, I discuss the hauntings and legends of the most haunted forest in the world, Hoia Forest. My guest is an experienced tour guide and explorer with years of experience with hiking and with personal paranormal encounters. Alex explains the Romanian legends and hauntings of Hoia Forest and says that he once found 60 people from Bucharest in the middle of the clearing where nothing grows trying to open a gate into another dimension. The Hoia Baciu forest is just outside Cluj-Napoca, Romania,  in the middle of Transylvania. Small Town Tales Podcast June 2022​Not only does my birthday occur this month, but also this interview with Travel Channel's Jereme Leonard to discuss a gumbo of personal experiences with the paranormal. A firefighter by day, and a demonologist by night, Jereme shares some chilling experiences with demonic entities and gives his own personal advice on what to do if you find yourself face to face with one.Jereme Leonard grew up in Ponchatoula, Louisiana,  50 miles north of New Orleans. Known as the Cajun Demonologist, Jereme is a published author of the book, The Dwelling, a story about his experience on the Stinson Case. Shortly after this event took place, Jereme met a Roman Catholic priest that was a retired exorcist as their friendship grew father Padre Joseph took him under his wing and taught him the inns and out of demonology and spiritual warfare. Jereme became an ordained minister in February 2007. Later that year he also decided to become an active demonologist taking on malevolent cases and has been a working demonologist ever cents. Over the years, Jereme has had the pleasure of appearing on many different television shows.  In the summer of 2018, Jereme had the pleasure of working with WWE legend Chris Jericho on hunting monsters.
