Roger Munchian survived death row and today serves as the head of one of the largest prison ministries in the United States, "Rescued, not Arrested".   As a young man, in southern California and Arizona, Roger was a significant player within drug trafficking.  Eventually, his lifestyle caught up to him and he faced charges that could have resulted in capital punishment.Instead, the Lord used that moment to change Roger's heart.  From a prison cell, he began studying God's word--the Holy Spirit used this pursuit to grab hold of his heart, transform his mind, and, eventually, completely change his circumstances. In chapel at Northwest Christian School on Wednesday, October 27th, Roger used his story of how God's word transformed his life to help Mr. Brown launch the 2021 Red Letter Challenge.  The Red Letter Challenge is an annual campaign in which students are encouraged to read through the four gospels, one chapter per day, over the course of three months. In this episode of the "Off the Page Book Club" podcast, Roger Munchian and Chris Gardiner begin working through Roger's biography, "Rescued, Not Arrested".  It is a story that you will not soon forget! For more information on the Red Letter Challenge, or to participate, click here.To learn more about Rescued, Not Arrested, please click here.To read the biographical book that captures Roger's compelling testimony, click here."Kingdom Culture Conversations" is a podcast created through Frameworks, a Biblical worldview initiative of Northwest Christian School. For more information on Frameworks, please visit:  https://frameworks.ncsaz.org/For more information on Northwest Christian School, visit:  https://www.ncsaz.org/To reach out to Geoff Brown, please email gbrown@ncsaz.org or you can reach him by cell phone:  (623)225-5573

Do I spend the entire math class talking about the nature of God?  Developing the discernment required to properly employ micro and macro propositions within our classrooms is the key to immersing our students in Biblical truth.
Are you ready to have your students move into your house with you?  Don't worry--that's not going to happen.  But, the concept of "pedagogium", teachers and students experiencing life and learning together, is the starting point of today's discussion.
The key to shaping our heart's desires is "taking charge of our diets"...meaning, our information diets.  How do we help students shape the spiritual disciplines that will ultimately serve to frame worldview?
Do I have a true Biblical worldview?  Personal reflection is where we started to assess our own worldview and then commit to meaningful processing directed towards maturing our worldview.
G describes Beyond Biblical Integration's chapter 5 as the "nuts and bolts" of Biblical worldview formation.  The discussion in today's episode includes wordy soundbites, LOTR memes, and, most importantly, the 3-D orientation of the heart and how each of those dimension play collectively into worldview formation.
Author Roger Erdvig unpacks the "two-story view of reality" that was developed by Francis Schaeffer.  As part of this analogy, Schaeffer describes the world of facts, objectivity, and concrete observations as the first story in a home.  As an extension of this way of thinking, religion, beliefs about God and His creation, morality, and subjective values get sent upstairs to the second floor.  Too often, this binary view of reality has infiltrated families, churches, and classrooms.  How do we fix it?
As Erdvig and G get into the first two chapters of Erdvig's "Beyond Biblical Integration" from Summit Ministries, they discuss the "Dunning-Kruger Effect" and the risks of being disintegrated.
In the debut episode of Northwest Christian School's Frameworks podcast, "Off the Page Book Club", Chris Gardiner begins a conversation with author Dr. Roger Erdvig.  Erdvig has written "Beyond Biblical Immersion", a 2020 title published by Summit Ministries.  In this episode, Gardiner and Erdvig set the stage for understanding how we can move beyond Biblical integration and towards what Erdvig has called 'true Biblical immersion'.
