Ashley Fendler Saville ’08 is the owner and founder of ANENOME based in Burlington, VT. A self-taught sewist, Ashley shares her passion for upcycling textiles, specifically quilts, which she re-purposes into beautiful yet functional handmade clothing items. This month Ross walks our listeners through his journey from working in the entertainment industry to working for a company finding new uses for nonrecyclable plastic waste. This month, Lizzie Edwards '12, M'13 shares her journey as an educator, coach, and lifelong learner. A dedicated St. Lawrence volunteer, Lizzie talks to us about the Young Alumni League and what makes it a unique competition among volunteers from different class years.
This month, University Chaplain the Rev. Dr. Shaun Whitehead joined us for a candid conversation about tradition and community at St. Lawrence. Reflecting on the unprecedented events of the last two years, Shaun shares the impact that it has had on her and the broader Laurentian community, along with her hopes for the future.Recently promoted to University Chaplain, the Rev. Dr. Shaun Whitehead serves the campus community by providing spiritual and emotional support to students, staff, and faculty, regardless of faith background. She also is the pastor of the campus’ weekly Gospel Service and directs the Community Gospel Choir. Shaun received the Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications from Clark Atlanta University, the Master of Divinity degree from McCormick Theological Seminary (Chicago) and the Doctor of Ministry from McCormick Theological Seminary.
Esports is relatively new to campus life at St. Lawrence University, but this athletics team provides a unique community to students, allowing them to take their passion and channel it into strategy, teamwork, and competition.  Esports Coordinator Josh Lanza and Overwatch Coach Kyle Jicha share the team's origin and what it’s doing for students on campus now, and in the future. Josh Lanza joined St. Lawrence University in July 2021 to serve as the University’s first Esports Coordinator and specifically coaches Super Smash Bros.  He and Kyle Jicha, Overwatch Coach and IT Systems Engineer, share the story of how students’ passion brought their vision for an esports team to life, and how it impacts the campus community. This month Andy Chan ’14 shares the impact Laurentians have had on his life, both professionally and personally, and his experience serving on the St. Lawrence University Board of Trustees as a McCurdy-Sprague trustee.Andy Chan ’14 is a Director of Product Management at Avalara, a cloud-based software platform that provides an end-to-end suite of sales and other transactional tax compliance solutions.  Andy graduated from St. Lawrence with honors in economics, and went on to earn a master’s in analytics from Johns Hopkins University and an MBA from Duke University.

In addition to chatting about her memories of her time at St. Lawrence, Hana also plays a bit of her original music for us.Hailing from Bermuda, Hana Bushara '21 made waves during her time at St. Lawrence, driven by her love of music and community. At various times a member of the Laurentian Singers, SLU Funk, and the Singing Sinners, Hana majored in Global Studies and minored in both Sociology and Music. She is currently at the London School of Economics pursuing a master's degree in Strategic Communications.
