Imperial Steam the latest game form Alexander Huemer is a weighty game about the railways of Austria during the mid-19th century. Nope it’s not an 18XX game, it’s a worker placement game but oh boy is it a good (if heavy, both in gameplay and weight of the actual box) Strap in for a ride as my brain melts just trying to talk about the game. 
What is a games weight anyway? Do you use your games to work those biceps or is the weight used to work that brain?  In this episode of the MacBoyce Gaming Podcast we look at my top five favourite heavy games. What are yours? 
It's not your grandparent’s zoo, it is a modern zoo, all about the conservation and correct treatment of animals. In the hottest game of the year so far - #ArkNova - takes you on a wild ride of actions, and cards, and rules.  Is the game good? Well, that's up to you to decide once you've played it. This year, MidCon returns after a year out (for you know what reasons) and I attend to play games, more on that soon, as well as sell games at the Bring and Buy.In this brief episdoe I go over some games I sold and why. 
The term "sandbox game" applied to video games, or modes in video games. Most fampously now is Minecraft in Creative Mode.So can the term be applied to board games? Marcus thinks not. What do you think?
 Here we look at, and play a round of, Watergate from Capstone Games and designer  Matthias CramerIn Watergate, one player represents the Nixon administration and tries not to resign before the end of the game while the other player represents The Washington Post and tries to show the connections between Nixon and some of his informers. A two player only card driven game that brings push-pull tension to the table. 
Here we look at, and play a few rounds of, the Uwe Rosenberg Habitats inspired game Nova Luna. A 2 – 4 player abstract tile laying game with some crunchy spatial elements where you are trying to complete all your tile tasks before the other players do theirs! 
Here we look at my top five favourite Uwe Rosenberg Games.
