Ep 8 - Julie Lawler

Ep 8 - Julie Lawler

2021-09-0636:23

My first impression of Julie, was of her spirit of compassion for all women. She has the amazing ability to see all women for who they really are without judgment. This no doubt has contributed to her great success in business and her nack for community building online. This in itself is impressive, yet this combined with her unassuming leadership style, makes Julie Lawler one to watch and one to learn from. Listen in as we wrap up Series #1 of the Emerging Leaders Podcast in style.
Ep 7 - Bea Roberts

Ep 7 - Bea Roberts

2021-08-2847:32

Listening to Bea speak, it's easy to see that Bea speaks from the wisdom of her own experience. Hers is a fascinating story, a meditation on embracing culture, getting to know who you really are right down to your roots and a powerful voice on the importance of being a person who helps people affected by disempowering circumstances learn how to believe in themselves again.
Ep 6 - Sophie Bennett

Ep 6 - Sophie Bennett

2021-08-2133:25

Sophie is one of the sweetest, kindest and most genuine people you will meet. She's also super savvy with social media marketing with the qual's to back it up. I found Sophie's story particularly important to share as she was one of the new graduates joining the job market during the middle of the pandemic and turned the challenge into an opportunity to create her own job as a Social Media Manager.
Ashley has turned trauma into triumph and a gift she now uses travelling around America speaking to students and empowering others.  Ashley is passionate about raising awareness on the nature abusive relationships and empowering people out of dating violence, and we discuss some sensitive issues in this episode, so trigger warning, if you're in a vulnerable place.

Ep 3 - Larissa Maloney

Ep 3 - Larissa Maloney

2021-08-0123:18

In this episode (which Larissa graciously accepted to do, even when she was 7 months pregnant with her third child) You'll learn more about what it's like to live the lifestyle of an elite athlete and also, step by step the journey and challenges that Larissa faced starting up her business: Active Kids 2.0 during the pandemic. It's a must watch for aspiring entrepreneurs and ambitious women everywhere.
Listen in for Lauren's powerful story of overcoming fear of putting herself out there to become a singer-songwriter, tour the world with some of the world's biggest artists including Anastasia and now to become a full-time coach, business mentor and singer-songwriter. We connected right at the time that Lauren announced that she was leaving her nine to five, to go full time into her business. Knowing how massive this is for many coaches, and how many others aspire to this goal, I knew Lauren's was an important story to tell. Not to mention our shared love of Brene Brown's work and her epic journey of vulnerability and courage to become a recording artist. Join us for the laughs, the nuggets of wisdom and a real-world example of courage and vulnerability put into practice daily.
Ep. 1 - Shar Weil

Ep. 1 - Shar Weil

2021-07-0150:31

I met Shar Weil in a room in Clubhouse early 2021 and as Clubhouse goes, inspired by what she said, I clicked across to her profile to find out more. Immediately I'm drawn to the statement: "Survived a 'fatal' brain tumor"I knew at that point that a vision of mine that I'd had for about a year, for a podcast called emerging leaders was about to be born. I was drawn to Shar immediately by a shared common past experience. Shar had faced a fatal brain tumor and survived. My dad had been given a stage 4 brain cancer diagnosis and died. Shar's story is by no means just about surviving a fatal brain tumor. As you'll discover through Shar's powerful story below, this incident was more the start, rather than the end of Shar's journey.  Shar has so much wisdom and grace to share, and I would consider this episode vital viewing/listening for anyone who's looking for a serious dose of inspiration and empowerment.
