Welcome back to the CRM Podcast - a Podcast that highlights the mental struggles athletes face in the professional arena. The first episode done on video and the first of 2022.The relentless pressure of professional Rugby as an 18 year old was something that Los struggled with early on and it eventually made him fall out of love with the game. He explains how this came to be, and more so how he dealt with it.We talk about the transition to St Kentigern and the struggles that came it. We both know a lot of people would do a lot to be where we were, but they don’t see everything else that happens behind closed doors.Don’t forget the resume on the kid - NZ Schools, two years in NZU20’s, Wellington, Waikato and Hurricanes for a 23 year old isn’t the worse.Enjoy the yarn with two washed up boys.

A few months ago I sat down with my brother Ryan 'Stag' O'Connor and had the privilege of being a guest on The Stag Roar Podcast.Stag and I played footy together at Hautapu Rugby Club in Cambridge and he's helped me get things up and running with my podcast. If you don't know him he's a proper legend, he's notched up over 200 episodes already and his topics are epic.We touch on a lot of things about childhood and my Rugby journey, but mostly we cover the transition to King's College, University and my Professional Rugby Career. The Stag Roar Podcast is over everyday podcast platform and is set in stone to be one of the very best in the country!Legend, mate! Enjoy.
Hey guys - I had the privilege of having a korero with the brother Jordan from Code With Kingi Podcast. We talk all things about my childhood and how I grew up shaping me to have the values that make me, me and a big emphasis on my journey at King's College from a small rural town in South Taranaki.Jordy is a well spoken lad and someone I've got a lot of time for.Go and check him out on Spotify and Apple Podcasts!
This episode is brought to you by The Hanger Christchurch - a retail boutique owned by Ani and Kim who proudly stock premium New Zealand owned brands. The Hanger is your place to go for vintage clothes, Jordans, candles and much more. The Hanger is more than a shop, but a place to go for coffee and good banter - the all round experience!Thank you to Ani and Kim for supporting the CRM Podcast, go and check them out:Website and Online Store - https://thehangerchch.com/Instagram - @thehangerchchBeing the son of the great All Black Frank, Jordan placed unnecessary pressure on himself from the get go to succeed. It took him a while to get past this but eventually felt content with whatever happened. I sit down and have a yarn with him and ask him plenty of questions about his upbringing, journey through school and navigating footy growing up. Jordy has always been a talent but it was awesome to hear his story and the struggles he's faced. Thanks for jumping on bro.

CGB takes us through growing up in Porirua in a big family and the struggle after his Mum passing away when he was just 9.The disappointment of not making NZ Schools or NZ20's but earning a Super Rugby contract is something that stands out for me, and is a true testament to his character.  He explains his time in the Canterbury Rugby Academy and the jump ship to the Highlanders. Some wicked stories in here for you all!CGB has always been that happy, smiley guy and that's what makes him specail - appreciate you my brother.
A quick 9 minute episode to tribute my brother Seanyboi. What you did for me as an 18 year old Māori boy in a Professional Rugby environment was massive. Thank you.Speaking about it helped me get things off my chest and made me feel better talking about my memories with him - if any of the boys want to do the same in the form of a podcast lets make it happen.Love you my brother - Moe mai ra!
This episode is an exhibition episode where Ice gives me half an hour of his time to smack out a Q+A with him. I decided on Q+A as it's his favourite type of podcasting, but it also gave me the opportunity to cover a lot of different topics at once.  This episode consists of 6 categories in Generic, Personal, YKTR, Sports, This or That and Quick Fire.I wanted to give Ice the opportunity to talk about stuff he's hasn't ordinarily said on another podcast. Grateful for the time he allocated towards the CRM Podcast!Hope you guys enjoy - Thanks brother!
Michal Matson decided she ran the CRM Podcast towards the end there and asked me a few questions about my journey! Tune in for a few interesting perspectives.

It was crazy comparing journeys through High Performance Sport and how similar our experiences were. Mikey first picked up a tennis racket at the age of 5 and put it down at age 22 mainly due to self doubt. 17 years of playing a sport that consumed her whole being and when things didn't work out - things started to crumble. Sound familiar?Loss in confidence and placing an extreme amount of pressure on herself lead her to fall out of love with the game she grew up playing. A lot of lessons and learnings in this one. Grateful for your time sis, how good are low maintenance friends!

He was humble enough to give me an hour of his time to talk all things Summer, Professional Rugby, life outside of sport and aspirations to help youth with the big picture of things.I've got a lot of respect for Toddy as does majority of the Waikato Province, he's a proud and well spoken lad and it was a pleasure to hear his story. Thanks for coming on brother - Enjoy!

We dive deep into his Mental Health as he went into borderline depression throughout his Rugby journey.Coxey loves a yarn and it's no surprise he opened up the way he did - he's set a president for all to come and I'm extremely proud of him. Thanks brother - Tap tap!

Go and check his clothes out at: https://onethreeeight.co.nz/Afterpay available and free shipping in NZ.Off the back of Reece Walsh getting into some trouble over the last week, I wanted to share my 5 cents as to the whole ordeal and put a positive spin on it.18 years old with a massive career in front of him, he's going to learn and move on from it. What were you doing when you were 18?Lets build him up instead of breaking him down - proud of him for being transparent. Change the narrative and help people in these situations. Disclaimer: THIS IS MY OPINION.

Over the last month I've been drawing inspiration from the people around me, my environment and my possessions. Something that's important to you may not be important to me; it's subjective. But if it's important to you then it matters!Inspiration for me comes from family and friends, music, my ute and my Podcast equipment.Inspiration can be seen as an outlet - a positive place to outlet negative emotions.Find these things for you and you'll be a happier person in my opinion. Enjoy!

Be Courageous, Be Real, Be Ballsy! Show him some love and check it out at www.ballsy.nzI got a message from a friend asking if I could try and get Troy Savage on the CRM Podcast. I messaged him and he replied almost immediately, a week later we're chopping it up!After growing up in Napier and his older brother getting scouted to the Sydney Roosters, they ended up offering him an opportunity too. 10 years later and a stint at the Parramatta Eels too, he never ended up playing a single game of NRL. Troy takes us through his adversity battles and what he's learnt in hindsight, which led him to his passion for coaching. Over 10,000 followers on Instagram and only growing, Troy has built a community invested in their well being. Thanks for your time bro - Enjoy!

Ben and I first met each other at the ripe age of 8 at Colgate Games, 9 years later we were facing one another when King's met Sacred Heart 1st XV. One year out of school and we were donning the mighty Hautapu hoops too.Comparing our childhood growing up on a farm and moving to the big smoke of Auckland for boarding school, Ben also covers how he managed to cop 6 knee reconstructions in as many years and how his new passion of groundskeeping for golf courses and Rugby Stadiums has put him in good steed. Thanks for your time brother.
Disclaimer: This is my opinion only! Off the back of Quade Cooper's comeback performance against South Africa, I wanted to highlight the positives and negatives of Noah Lolesio getting benched by the Wallabies. The media put a negative spin on these things but this is a positive one. In summary:- Noah is 21 years old playing International Rugby, give the kid a break. He's done really well fitting into the Wallabies mould the last few seasons.- The Commentators need to be better. Ex-All Blacks can't be dogging a 21 year old for trying his hardest, them of all people should know better.- It's evident Quade has a wider approach to Rugby now, Noah is lucky that Quade is there to help him instead of tear him down.- Important time for the Wallabies if they want a long term First Five in Noah.Few of my opinions in here. Positive reinforcements for both players who are fu*ken good at what they do.  Flipping that negative connotation to a positive one.
