Has it every occured to you that the everyday appliances and products you use in your home to cook, clean and drink with, could be causing dramatic effects to your physical and mental health without you even realising?Eliana, founder of Eco Kindly; the online shop combining environmentally friendly products that do not compromise your health. There are so many horrendous chemicals in the so called 'sustainably friendly' products that we consume every day such as, make up, toothpaste, deoderant, washing detergent, shampoo, candles, frying pans - yes, frying pans! We tend to trust these brands as soon as a glossy 'Eco' sticker is smacked on top, well perhaps I speak only for myself here...? After suffering with severe hormonal imbalances and undergoing multiple IVF treatments, she realised the Doctor's were never going to give her the magic pill she so desperately seeked. Eliana decided it was time to let her curiosity take the better of her and do the research she should've started a long time ago.    I'm afraid you'll have to tune in to hear how she combated these illnesses without the help of her Doctor's!Check out Eliana's Website!https://ecokindly.co.uk  Chocolate Beetroot Brownies recipe, can be found in the Fast 500https://thefast800.com/recipes/
As we lead up to 2021's alcohol awareness week,  starting on the 15th of November, what better time to release episode 7 with Theo, where we discuss how and why he moved away from the booze altogether.  Working and living abroad in Ibiza and getting himself caught up in the loose party culture, allowing himself little to no sleep, understandably, Theo's mental and physical health took a turn for the worst. When his 30th birthday turned up, he recognised how disconnected from life, friends, and family he was and knew he needed to make a change. Since giving up the alcohol altogether and living every day to the fullest with new everyday practices, Theo explains how going cold turkey has been the catalyst for every positive change in his life - the list is endless!  He really is a remarkable human being and I feel honored to have him as my guest on the podcast. It takes a huge amount of courage to talk openly about your mental health and to hold yourself accountable for the past. After heading back to Herefordshire to stay with my Aunt and Uncle, I sat down with Tor to debunk and understand how and why she lives such a happy and carefree life. I've always wondered why I feel so at ease when I stay at Warren Farm. Is it the farm life itself that puts me at ease? Is it the country air? Perhaps it's that my Aunt and Uncle just have a license to be who they are without caring what anyone else around them might think. Life is simple at Warren farm, but only because Tor and James make sure to keep it that way without complicating it with unnecessary things. Tor is undoubtedly my coolest and most chilled-out family member. I've always been inspired by her ability to stand up for what she believes in despite what others think of her choices. She has a real calmness about her and I know that if I ever want a straight honest answer from anyone, I'll definitely get it from Tor.    We discuss what makes a happy marriage, how Tor has found peace with herself through the faith of God, and how having a chaotic life of four young boys made for the best memories. Chaos is in fact comfortable if you're not worried about how it appears to the outside crowd.I'll say it again as I do on the podcast - "If I wasn't Tor's Niece, I'd definitely want to be her friend".
After establishing the truths of the yachting industry with Bella in Part 1, we divulge into different coping mechanisms and ways in which you can work with and understand the people around you. Bella also explains how completely changing her Superyachting lifestyle to taking up gardening in her semi-retired life, has changed her perspective on money, fashion, and how much time you should spend on caring for yourself and the world around you. It's not ironic that after being cooped up like a chicken for 7 years on a Superyacht that Bella now takes every opportunity to experience the world outside and take every outdoor walk as a luxury. Book RecommendationsThe Brain that changes itself - Norman DoidgePrimal Leadership - Daniel Goleman, Richard Boyatzis, Annie MckeeBraiding Sweetgrass - Robin Wall KimmerSuperyacht Coursehttps://www.flyingfishonline.com
WARNINGPlease be advised, there are sensitive topics around sexual assault that some listeners may find difficult to listen to.If you've seen the popular reality TV show, 'Below Deck', you will already share an understanding of what the yachting industry is like. However, there are truths hidden below the shiny white walls that the TV show does not give credit to, making yacht life look seemingly more safe and enjoyable than it really is. In this first part of episode 5, Bella and I start to debunk the true reality of yachting and how Bella and I fell into yachting in the first place. Working 3+ months without a day off, dealing with the rich and famous on little to no sleep, there is no doubt that over time, the body starts to break down physically and mentally and it's up to you to know when it's time to quit. If you have been sexually assaulted or know someone who has been, the following services will provide treatment or support, and can refer you to another service if you need more specialist help (such as a SARC):a doctor or practice nurse at your GP surgerya voluntary organisation, such as Women's Aid, Victim Support, The Survivors Trust or Survivors UK (for male victims of sexual assault)the 24-hour freephone National Domestic Abuse Helpline, run by Refuge, on 0808 2000 247the Rape Crisis national freephone helpline on 0808 802 9999 (12-2.30pm and 7-9.30pm every day of the year)a hospital accident and emergency (A&E) departmenta genitourinary medicine (GUM) or sexual health clinica contraceptive clinica young people's serviceNHS 111the police, or dial 101in an emergency, dial 999
It's often that we find ourselves walking far from the paths we thought we'd always run down. We can get so caught up in the paths that others want for us as well as choosing what society deems to be the right path. When in actual fact,  it's better to let our souls guide us towards the ones that truly make us come alive.Amelia has an energy that can turn a lightbulb on, along with her contagious smile and bright colourful clothing. I first met Amelia years ago at swim club where we would race against our rival clubs, trotting up and down the country. We came back into contact when I saw Amelia's undeniably cool and quirky artwork. In this episode, we discuss how Amelia fell back into her love for art and why she chooses to paint the babes, boobs, and bums that clog up her Instagram page - you can actually hear her smile when she talks about it.If you haven't already, you've got to go check out her Instagram page @ameliabutler_art ! She is so undoubtedly talented with a paintbrush in her hand and if you'd like her to commission your beautiful bod, you won't regret it. It's time to celebrate the uniqueness of our lumps and bumps and what better way to do it than through Amelia and her brush.
If you're thinking of going Vegan or Vegetarian, this one's for you! Olivia is a dear friend of mine going back quite a few years; we've shared a lot of memories together. She makes me laugh by her authentic ability to tell you exactly what she's thinking and I've found it's quite rare to find honesty such as Liv's in a time like today. Liv inspired me 4 years ago to go Vegan (though am leaning towards more of a vegetarian diet nowadays) after seeing the undeniable results it had on her mental and physical health. This podcast has a strong flavour of love in it and I hope you enjoy listening to Olivia's perspective on life; she is wiser beyond her years.  We talk about growth, how to explore your emotions and ultimately how changing her diet resulted in saving her from the one she was just about existing in. If you would like to ask Olivia any questions you may have, please drop her a message @livlovespeace or email me whilsteatingcake@gmail.com Vegan recipes:https://simple-veganista.com https://minimalistbaker.com/recipe-index/?fwp_special-diet=vegan https://www.bettinaskitchen.com @abbeyroadcoffee - for the most amazing cakes, brownies and biscoff slices
