Underground Recovery Podcast is a new podcast that has been formed to talk about the really hard things in recovery and life. My hope is to bring comfort to those struggling in addiction and comfort to those who love those in addiction. To reach a level of honesty and raw truth that it brings camaraderie and companionship to those who listen. We all know recovery can be a lonely place when sometimes, hopefully this can lesson that.

There is no good easy way to help loved ones struggling with addiction. There is no magic button of how to heal or help them. There are only a few things that I can recommend.
Being sober means sometimes people want me to evaluate their alcohol use. Well I cant do that really, but you can!
Joy felt unattainable in my life until after I got sober. Joy does not just come with sobriety though, there is things that have to be worked through till we get to experience joy and freedom.
Living in addiction brings wreckage, and lots of it. Wreckage that it seems overwhelming to sort through, but it is not. There is always a way to move forward.
"Have I any doubt about the power of liquor?" This question stopped me in my tracks in meditation today. I have not doubt, but why is it so hard to admit that?

Cravings! When you stop using and drinking for some the cravings disappear rather quickly sometimes they do not. This explores what my cravings were like and how long they persisted.
This episode I go through each of the 12 steps and what they did for me and what a year in rehab was like.
