Efren is a Mississippian and lifelong immigrants’ rights organizer. His story includes experiences as a Southern activist and as a Latino man subject to anti-Hispanic discrimination.
Episode 2: Vanessa Vanessa has lived in Mississippi for almost two decades since fleeing gender-based discrimination in her home country of Mexico. She shares stories from her time working in majority immigrant factories, including during the 2008 ICE raids at Howard Industries.
