As a Mi’kmaw person, he strives to embrace and integrate Indigenous knowledges and methodologies to better understand the physics of stars and the Universe and our place in it. He is an astrophysicist and currently working as Science Advisor, Siksika Board of Education. Rob is the founder of First Light Initiative and co-founder of IndigeSTEAM, and serves as both an advisor and youth mentor for the Power to Choose summer camps.Dr. Phil Langill teaches physics and astrophysics at the University of Calgary and is the Director of the Rothney Astrophysical Observatory.
