Both women are deeply involved in Rural Australians for Refugees, an organisation tirelessly working to support, sponsor, advocate and organise for asylum seekers and refugees. This episode Nadia talks with local rural GP and women's health advocate, Dr Rebecca McGowan, about the state of rural and regional healthcare, climate change and access to specialists in country Australia. As the second youngest of 14, Rebecca decided very early in life that she wanted to be a GP in the area she's from, the Indigo Valley north of Beechworth, Victoria. Rebecca still lives in the Indigo Valley and practices in Albury while also speaking globally on the impact of climate change on our health and women's health in country Australia.
