Today's guest is a good friend of mine, a guy called Dave Heffernan, who is an anxiety coach and a mental health practitioner. He really went through the mill when he was a lot younger. He experienced more trauma, and more life events by the time he was age 20 than most people experience their lifetime. This set him up to be quite a balanced person and quite a reflective individual. He now uses the skills that he learned to help others through grief, anxiety, and mental health issues. He was homeless for a year in the Lake District which gave him time to reflect and use the mountains and great outdoors to heal and process so quite traumatic events. He is also absolutely obsessed with Everest. He knows, because of his health condition he'll never be able to stand on a summit. But that doesn't stop him from dreaming and hoping to go into Basecamp and a lot of the work he does, and the analogies he uses relate to Everest and mountaineering. We recorded this quite a few weeks ago before I even decided on what I actually wanted to call the podcast. And it was a great pleasure to have Dave on as the first guest.Time to breathe workshops: https://point5.tv/time-to-breathe/Dave Heffernan: https://www.facebook.com/daveheffernanltd or https://www.linkedin.com/in/daveheffernanspeaker/ Dave's Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/645058589956238 Support the show
