There are too many talks about relationships, dating requirements in this day and age. Submission is more like a swear word and omission is positive to get your own way. Deception is a better way of explaining it. Why does a man need to pay a 5 course meal on the first date? Why should a woman have a joint bank account with her "boyfriend"? If you're looking how I'm looking then you know this is asinine. In this episode, it's time to sound off all of the ideocracies of this "new age" dating mindsets.  Support the show

In this episode, we dive into doctor's appointments and hospital visits. Does your doctor see you or your race? Does your doctor see you or your weight? Does your doctor see you or your age? Some doctors have bedside manners while others ticket for the filling of pockets so they say anything. Physician biases shouldn't be in patient rooms because then diagnoses gets missed. Patients aren't seen back till it's nothing left but a wing and a prayer. Advocate for yourself when you go to your doctor and don't stop. You know your own body. Let them see the symptoms and not the race, gender, weight, or age. You shouldn't have to speak twice to save your own life!Support the show

It's Women's History Month and what better way than to have a conversation on feminism and some of what it stands for. Feminism is not just about being sexually liberated. Hell sexual liberation and womanhood is a mere 20% of what feminism really is. The other 80% comes off the back of the suffrage movement. We're still fighting to have our rights as women. Mama's Son

Mama's Son

There' still sundowning happening to black men in 2024. We want men our black men to come home safely. In Mississippi, a black man was hit by a cop car, beat, and buried in a pauper's cemetery without the notification of next of kin. They told the mother that they had no idea where her son was and that he had no identification on him. The fact was not only did he have identification on him but it was buried with him. We wish we lived in a world where people would do the "right thing". That would rarely exists in totality. Support the show

Happy MLK weekend where we celebrate the great Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and all of his accomplishments in the world. In this episode, I took a spin on what it would be like if Martin and Malcolm was living in today's society and what they would speak on. The things that still haven't changed and those that have changed for the worse. Take a listen and see if you can agree. Are you the next leader? Support the show
Holidays are always difficult when you lose someone. When that someone happens to be your grandmother things don't really look the same. Grandma's are usually like the mold that holds the family together and without the center piece everyone just struggles to meet or hell never come home. like Grandma was just a memory. We hold this family together like Grandma did because we too soon will be the centerpiece and the cycle will continue.  Here's a reminiscence of holidays with grandma. Happy Holidays.Support the show
Too many of us have things that trigger events that happened in our past. Like PTSD, sometimes we are unaware of triggers until therapy where someone gives us the tools to identify them and work on the root cause. People around you (that didn't hurt you) don't know when you're triggered unless you tell them that it affected you. Make sure you're taking care of your psychological self as well so you can identify your triggers and work to control them. Support the show
Relationships are hard to navigate especially when you're trying to put together pieces that don't fit. Often times we're too well invested to take a step back and understand when it's not going anywhere until too much damage has already been done. In this episode, we separate relationships with a childhood game of Rock, Paper, Scissors. Which one are you or have you been?Support the show
In this episode, we get into a battle between self. It's like a person with two personas hiding behind ne another until one takes the lead and takes over.  We've all been there comparing ourselves, imposter syndrome, creating an alter ego to do what we cannot. It's all the same if you ask me. Truth is, you are everyone you create. You just have to put them together to make a whole.Support the show
We have heard generation after generation comparing one another from parenting styles, politics, fashion, and behaviors. We never realize that behaviors are taught and bleed through generations that never cut them off. We complain because the next generation doing the same thing the previous one did. It's all the same so what's the comparison?Support the show
In this episode, we discuss how everyone talks a good game about generational curses but no one wants to actually start breaking them. Breaking generational curses isn't always spiritual (Reading the Bible, going to church, praying). Sometimes breaking generational curses are going to therapy, AA, rehab etc. Other times it's breaking generational behaviors like lying, quick temper, fighting, impatience, etc. You have to start with yourself first.Support the show
