In this episode, we will discuss Some Tips for Effective Preaching. We all want our preaching to be better, and it can be. If we put in the effort God will bless our preaching for his glory. I will deal with the points listed below. I pray this episode will be a help to you in your preaching ministry.Study the Word Memorize scripture * God’s Word will not return to Him void (Isaiah 55:10-11).* The Word is sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12).* God watches over and hastens His Word to perform it (Jeremiah 1:12).* He honors His Word above His name (Psalm 138:2).* God’s Word is sent out through us to bring healing and deliverance into the lives of His people (Psalms 107:20).* God anoints His Word and through it breaks every yoke of bondage (Isaiah 10:27 ).* God promises the Holy Spirit will “bring all things to your remembrance whatsoever He has said unto us” (John 14:26). Does the Old Testament still matter in our modern culture? Of course, it does! Compassion is a rare trait in our society. Many people struggle to find support during difficult times in their lives. Unfortunately, even churches often lack genuine compassion. Those who have been hurt and broken by life come to church seeking relief and guidance from God's Word, hoping to find comfort. Instead, they are often met with judgment, condemnation, and harsh criticism. This is not what they need, and it only makes things worse. In this episode, we discuss how to cultivate compassion. We must listen, pray, and preach with a compassionate heart so that we may provide the support and healing that people need. 1. Discouragement is part of ministryFacing discouragement is normal in all ministries. Something is off if someone in ministry claims to be on a perpetual high. If you are feeling discouraged, you are not alone.2 . Remember How God has worked in your lifeHe saved you, called you, gifted you, prepared you, shaped you, and used you. Recollect those times when God’s work through you has been clear and evident.3. Identify the actual standard for your ministryIt is so easy to start feeling pressured by standards that God is not holding you up against. God is not expecting you to be someone else. He wants you to be you. Empowered, growing, improving, but still you.4. Who should you please?You cannot keep everyone happy all the time. You may preach with great sensitivity and still step on some toes.5. Pray, prepare and preachWhat do we discover if we take stock of your lifetime of sermons and add them to mine and a few others?
