This week I am joined by author Dave Pelzer, best known for his memoir of child abuse, "A Child Called It".  As with many of us, Dave was forced to re-examine his life during the pandemic. Despite his many accomplishments—writing multiple bestselling books, including the classics A Child Called “It” and The Lost Boy, serving in the armed forces, receiving awards from US Presidents, and battling ferocious California wildfires—Dave found himself at an emotional crossroads. In his struggle to simply survive, he never learned how to just be. What did he learn during this moment of reflection and what does he want to share with Imperfect Mellow listeners? Listen to this week's episode to find out.
