Topic: Today our topic is Sleep Hygiene. We are continuing a 4 part series on the 4 pillars of health and fitness; Food Prep, Sleep Hygiene, Resistance Training, NEAT. Today we will be focused on sleep.  Problem: I would argue there are 3 true needs in life to keep the body alive and thriving: 1) Eat/drink, 2) clothing/shelter, and 3) sleep/recovery. Sleep is one of the most powerful things your body needs and it can unleash all kinds of benefits when you get enough quality and quantity. At the same time, not enough sleep can be very harmful to body, and in some cases it has cause serious problems. Topic: Today our topic is food prep. We are starting a 4 part series on the 4 pillars of health and fitness; Food Prep, Sleep Hygiene, Resistance Training, NEAT. Today we will be focused on Food Prep…. Transition Problem: Now lots of people hate the idea of prepping food. Many clients I work with think of it as something that is time consuming, not tasty, and not even sure what to cook, or how much. It also may be that you have to cook for multiple people and your trying to find things that are affordable while also tasty for others in the house that may not be trying to live the same health goals. Topic: Today our topic is Resistance Training We are starting a 4 part series on the 4 pillars of health and fitness; Food Prep, Sleep Hygiene, Resistance Training, NEAT. Today we will be focused on Resistance Training -Problem: Resistance Training can get associated with Body Building (BB), and while BB is a form of Resistance Training its much more general in principle. RT is any exercise that causes the muscles to contract against an external resistance with the expectation of increases in strength, power, hypertrophy, and/or endurance. In other words resistance training can be used in many different ways depending on the clients goals and needs. So what’s the problem? The problem I see most often is that people who start resistance training have the wrong ideas about it and ask the wrong questions.
