Season 3 Sneak Peek!

Season 3 Sneak Peek!

2024-04-2614:02

Season 3 is coming May 9th! In this episode, the theme for this season is revealed along with other details, including episode titles and more. My intention for Season 3 is for it to be a journey of peering beneath the surface of the ways that we typically perceive reality to consider a more holistic, expansive, and empowering view on consciousness, the soul, and the nature of reality itself. In this episode, I share two intuitive writings—one about our inner strength coming from our willingness to flexibly adapt to change and the second about the reason and purpose of 'bouncy', up-and-down energies so far this year (and why they've felt downright painful for some of us). Disclaimer: This podcast is intended for entertainment and informational purposes only and does not substitute individual psychological advice.
Whether we believe it or not, we're entirely capable of offering ourselves the love and fulfillment we want... or even crave from someone else. We're entirely capable of loving ourselves in all the ways we've hoped another person would love us. This realization is an extraordinarily powerful and empowering one.Because...When we know how to fill our own cup so fully and completely—when we know how to give ourselves the love we want—we stop needing someone else to do it for us. It's from this place of deep and profound self-love that if and when love shows up externally, we're able to embrace it with open, unclenched and uncontrolling arms. Because when we love ourselves this fully we're able to appreciate the love of another in a way that perpetually frees that person to exist as they are. Our love for another then is no longer capable of being selfishly shaped into something that meets our needs at the cost of the other's freedom, because our needs have already been met by us.It's also from this place that we're able to choose—freely and with intention—the partnerships that deeply and profoundly nourish our souls (as opposed to clinging to relationships out of fear because we're not sure who we'll be without them).I believe that loving ourselves unconditionally—or simply having the genuine and committed intention to do so and acting upon it regularly (this is a journey)—serves as the foundation for unconditionally loving romantic partnerships. ResourcesMy Love List (includes questions + guidance for making your own)Disclaimer: This podcast is intended for entertainment and informational purposes only and does not substitute individual psychological advice.
In this episode, we'll explore the current energetic landscape on earth and how there is an intensification of trickery, fear, and darkness that's being used in an attempt to keep us stuck (or even trapped) and to thwart the collective rise in consciousness. The more we can recognize that the fearful urges and impulses we experience are not ours but rather that they're  inorganic, artificial layers of illusion placed over our consciousness, the more we can empower ourselves to discern what is authentically an emanation of us (our Core Soul Essence) and what is merely a clever illusion designed to keep us stuck, trapped, and looping in fearful ways of existing.Links + ResourcesFollow me on Instagram for daily 'morning chats'—@ashleymelilloSoul-Support Toolbox: Practical Tools for Challenging Moments (this is the Google Doc version—I plan to continue to add to this + this one has a clickable Table of Contents which makes it easy to navigate)  Here's the link to a downloadable PDF version in Dropbox (no Table of Contents with this one unfortunately, so a little more cumbersome to navigate)(The above is a free 23-page toolkit / document with strategies for in-the-moment fear reduction, emotional processing, and foundational prevention and resilience boosting)Disclaimer: This podcast is intended for entertainment and informational purposes only and does not substitute individual psychological advice.*This is an affiliate link. The Grace of Surrender

The Grace of Surrender

2024-01-0510:31

This episode is a short but powerful intuitive Q + A on the grace of surrender. This came through on 12/31/2023 as wisdom for the new year. I hope you find as much value in it as I am. Surrendering has been one of the most challenging spiritual tasks for me personally and yet the more I release my grip on certainty, control, clinging, etc., the freer I feel.Google doc with the written version of this intuitive Q + A.Disclaimer: This podcast is intended for entertainment and informational purposes only and does not substitute individual psychological advice.

In this episode, we explore:My recent experience with the abandonment wound. How choosing our happiness instead of waiting for it is an act of radical self-love that nourishes us from the inside out and soothes the abandonment wound. How anything we desire to manifest outside of ourselves should be seen as adding to our already stable sense of inner fulfillment rather than creating it. Although we'll still desire the external dream, we don't need it to be happy, because we’ve created our happiness from within first. From this perspective, the manifested dream then becomes the cherry on top as opposed to the sundae itself. Questions to inspire reflection:What does choosing happiness look like for me right now?To-Do's and Not-To-Do'sWhat are the actions, thoughts, and behaviors that fill my inner cup? What are the actions, thoughts, and behaviors that deplete or take from my inner cup?Disclaimer: This podcast is intended for entertainment and informational purposes only and does not substitute individual psychological advice.

Important note: The energy that was coming through as I was recording this was powerful and intense to the point that I had trouble catching my breath and also had a few moments of nervous laughter (I realized the latter only upon re-listening while editing). Please know that this has nothing to do with you or the seriousness of the topic at hand. In this episode, I'm sharing insights revealed through an intuitive Q + A. The theme is around navigating painful experiences, especially those that require us to drop into uncertain territory. If you're in the process of moving through a painful experience or contemplating taking the leap into a release or a letting go that's likely to involve an emotional upheaval, this episode is for you. I hope you find it to be supportive and resonant for whatever it is you're moving through.Episode LinksMorning Prayer to Higher SelfDisclaimer: This podcast is intended for entertainment and informational purposes only and does not substitute individual psychological advice.

In this episode, we explore three monsters of mind: The Fear Monster, The Shame / Unworthiness Monster, and The Resentment / Blame Monster. We also uncover the key to taming them. Our monsters are merely echos of unresolved and unhealed inner shadows. How do we dissolve the power of a shadow? By illuminating it, of course. By shining the light of our awareness onto it. Even when dissolved by the light, the shadow exists in perpetuity as a potential. And yet, in becoming aware of and accepting of our shadow, the potency of its appearance softens to that unmanifested potential. In other words, what makes our shadow manifest in tangible ways is our denial of it. Denying it intensifies the shadow's darkness. Its edges sharpen until we're forced to look at it. And its through seeing and acknowledging the Truth of our shadow that it softens. Because conscious awareness is the regenerative source of illumination—of light. Disclaimer: This podcast is intended for entertainment and informational purposes only and does not substitute individual psychological advice.*This is an affiliate link. This episode is a continuation of the last episode where I shared the news of something I've been moving through in my personal life. In this episode, we explore: -The collective archetype of Divorce and why it's important to be aware of it. - The perils, pitfalls, and disempowerment that go hand-in-hand with the blame game and victimhood.- How to resist the ego's bait and return to the heart when we're feeling hurt, betrayed, resentful, scared, etc.- How to implement heart-led boundaries (as opposed to boundaries formed out of fear) and why boundaries are a necessary precursor to compassion.- Why eliminating fear isn't the solution to our discomfort (as well as the true solution).- How to leverage the transformative power of pain and heartbreak to return to our innate wholeness. Please don't hesitate to reach out through my website if you're going through a difficult time, too. If you’ve listened to The Soul Horizon for any length of time, you’ve probably heard me talk about the pitfalls of over-thinking as well as the perils of believing everything the ego says without question. You’ve likely also heard me speak talk about thinking as being a predominantly ego-based activity. In this 'mini' episode I’d like to clarify and clear the air, because the truth is that thinking is an imperative part of being human. And there's a certain type of thinking that's actually highly spiritual in nature.Disclaimer: This podcast is intended for entertainment and informational purposes only and does not substitute individual psychological advice.*This is an affiliate link. In this episode, we explore four life lessons that are repeated time and time again. In knowing that these lessons present themselves in perpetuity, we can begin to soften to their guidance in a gentle, non-resistant, and surrendered kind of way. And the more we embrace this sort of openness, the more fluidly and nimbly we can move through these lessons, and the more we're able to welcome their wisdom. The 4 life lessons we cover in this episode:1. Life gives us what we need to learn, not necessarily what we want to experience.2. When it seems as if life as we've known it is "falling apart," we're being divinely cracked open so that we can open to ourSelves (big S) more fully.3. The way of the heart is the Soul's chosen and destined path, yet it often conflicts with the ego's chosen path of safety, certainty, and comfort.4. In every situation or circumstance, the seed of Wisdom and the most profound meaning is found in the middle.Continued Reading + ResourcesBook: The Places That Scare You* by Pema ChödrönBook: When Things Falls Apart* by Pema ChödrönDisclaimer: This podcast is intended for entertainment and informational purposes only and does not substitute individual psychological advice.*This is an affiliate link. In this episode, we're exploring the idea of 'safe self' or 'acceptable self' vs. authentic self, and how we’ll only ever be as authentic as our willingness to be rejected. In other words, our ability to show up authentically in life expands in direct proportion to our willingness to be “rejected” for who we are. SourcesKalyani, B., Venkatasubramanian, G., Arasappa, R., Rao, N., Kalmady, S., Behere, R., Rao, H., Vasudev, M., & Gangadhar, B. Update: Part 2 will be released on Thursday, 6/29! Please stay tuned and thank you for your patience during this time—lots of big life changes happening all at once. Note: I became emotional and struggled to speak at one point while recording this episode. In the past, I've often deleted or shortened moments like this, because I didn't want to take up your time. However, this time around I felt it was important to leave it as is and unedited. Please skip this episode if you're not in a place to receive this or if you feel that it might trigger too much for you at this time. ❤️Other notes and disclaimers:This is part one of a two-episode series, so be sure to listen to both episodes to understand the full picture. The second part will be released next Thursday! In this episode, we'll be discussing trauma as a collective and generational phenomena. We won't be discussing acute traumatic events (PTSD) and chronic childhood trauma (developmental trauma disorder—DTD). Not because they aren’t important—in fact, just the opposite. They’re incredibly important… too important to cover in a brief podcast episode. We also won't be exploring specific traumas or traumatic events, rather we'll be considering a pattern of collective trauma that seems to be the resulting pattern of a very broken whole.Disclaimer: This podcast is intended for entertainment and informational purposes only and does not substitute individual psychological advice.*This is an affiliate link.
