Have you ever been hoping for something to happen?02:41All your hope, all your faith, trust and confidence that it's going to come through, strong. You see improvement, you're making strides. And then all of a sudden, kablookup.03:06things don't turn out the way you had hoped for in your heart. And a lot of times when, for me personally, when your hope...03:25get sucked up out of you by life and just unreasonable circumstances, it can really weigh a toll on your inner man and your outer man. And a lot of times people who experience hope deferred03:56if not aware of what's happening.04:02can go into depression.04:06regression, regrets, even suicidal thoughts or04:18unhealthy tendencies. So04:23I want to talk about being transparent.04:29And you know the three categories, transparent, translucent, and opaque. When your hope, when you feel like your hope is gone.04:51One thing for certain.04:56that will never ever ever change is life. Life is gonna keep lifeing. What do you mean by that? Meaning that despite how you feel, despite of what's going on around you, what's going on that includes you.05:25Life is gonna keep on moving. People are gonna keep on living.05:33time will keep on ticking even when it feels like your world has stopped. Whether that news that made your world stop is it's finding out you have an uncurable disease or finding out that06:00someone who you connected to.06:07for all your life or most of your life has seemingly transitioned.06:16from life to life beyond Earth?06:24Maybe it's a divorce. Maybe it's06:32your children not06:36acting the way in which you raise them. Whatever it may be that calls the shift in your heart.06:50and the hope to be smothered or smoldered, when it happens, it's the worst gut-wretched feeling that an individual can experience.07:17In my rehab.07:21I was experiencing great strides and growth and all of a sudden something just popped out that slowed me down and really just every step I took.07:46for progression seemed like it was countered with another step backwards. Two steps backwards. One step forward, two steps backwards.08:04and08:07The lost or the... Episode one, well, no, not episode one, but transparency part one, two, three. I talked about briefly situations that01:37happened to me, how I responded, and the process of my response and my healing. The reason why I took time off and I'm back. Baby, I'm back.01:59But more importantly,02:05It's...02:08I believe it's by design.02:14I have been chosen to endure certain hardships.02:21I think it's by design. I believe so.02:27One is because...02:31You know, God allowed.02:35too.02:39God.02:42would place the burden in my heart to share my experience and how I am overcoming.02:54and a healing, but also to expose.03:01The hurt, the pain.03:06the situation shed light or be transparent in this situation or in my situation.03:20Transparency verse translucent, being translucent, and verse opaque. So you have three categories to be transparent.03:36to allow all light, or most of the light in.03:42Translution allows some light.03:49opaque Allows no light03:56So you have these three categories in which I.04:03feel moved to speak on my situations and the family dynamic that I have experienced and why I, you know, and why I as a dad operate in being transparent with my children. And as they grow older.04:32more transparency will be warranted. Because after I'm gone.04:42They will be left to do what God has placed in their path. And it's important for me, the legacy I leave behind, that they are prepared as much as possible with information, with love, with support, with care, with insight and instruction. Now,05:12Him following that is a whole different subject because we have choices. We have choices, but for the most part, I'ma do all I can. It's in my heart to do all I can to raise my children the way God has ordained me and created me to be.05:42So let's talk about generational curses and the root identifying a crisis. Too often we experience, and let me speak about myself, that experience the...06:03the consequence of the lack of parenting from the previous generation.
