That she is still talking to her husband daily yet still can't bring herself to talk to her son who did nothing wrong, who actually did the right thing, especially when looked at through the eyes of a son who has seen what his dad is capable of, makes no sense to me and is so heart breaking. The only way it makes any sense at all is knowing how violence in the home can be so insidious that the perpetrator can still be such a controlling force even away from the home. I can't imagine how else she can still support the man who shot his gun next to her head and not the brave son who did what he knew was right.
I just heard a trailer of Will Be Wild while listening to another podcast on Castbox. The trailer included something to the effect that the Jan 6 protest was the culmination. of "4 years of autocracy". In light of what we have lived in the last 18 months. I found the statement laughable at the very least. Until very recently I was a lifelong supporter of the Democrat Party, but even I can't defend the draconian , non-legislated policies that the current administration has imposed on the American people. Perhaps the podcast creators should rethink their idea of "autocracy" .
This poor woman is so conditioned by her husband that she can’t even see how messed up that situation is. Her husband puts a gun to her head and she thinks her son is overreacting?? Good lord.
the lives and future of the people who believe and still believe the lies of trump and the congressmen and women who continue to push the hate are affected forever. Do they actually think trump gives a shit?!! No. He doesn’t even think about them. All the lives ruined and screwed because of greed. It’s shameful as Fck and just criminal. The delusion of the insurrectionists in swallowing the Big Lie hook, line and sinker is eerily similar to Russians believing the official line on Ukraine.
It's clear that Danny R is a lost young man looking for purpose. Like so many other lost souls, he got sucked into the Trump/Fox News cult of lies and will pay the price in prison. Michael F is right, Trump is a bad man who does evil things.

This woman is still so deeply trapped in this abusive relationship. I really hope she ends it before her husband gets out of jail. Or that he is in for a very long time. I feel for her. How terrifying.
The son did the right thing. Turning in his dad. His dad committed a crime and his son did the Loyal American thing.
I feel so sad for the woman who is that man's wife.
These insurrectionists are being treated far more humanely than they would others in the same situation.
