Her love for dance started young and although she didn’t continue dancing, she found her passion in filming dance. Meaghan is the producer of Innovate Dance Film Showcase, an event showcasing different styles of dance on the big screen. Meaghan has worked for many dance events including Triple Threat Dance Convention and Fusion Dance Camp. She loves the art of dance and believes there is so much beauty in dance on film.
On this episode of The Digital Dance Experience, I chat with Michael Wall about how music composition intersects with dance films.  Michael is an internationally recognized composer, performer, and educator who collaborates with dancers, choreographers, and filmmakers around the world. He composes original music, accompanies dance classes, and teaches sound design for dance and performance with Ableton Live. Michael has worked at Rutgers University, Princeton University, NYU, The Ohio State University, The Bates Dance Festival, The American Dance Festival, and The University of Utah, School of Dance. He continues to support independent artists in digital music distribution and offers a comprehensive online library of music for dance students, teachers, and choreographers. On this episode of The Digital Dance Experience, we discuss the importance of location scouting and film permits when filming a dance video - or any film - with featured guest Hilary Webber. Hilary Webber is the Production Manager for Film Tampa Bay, Tampa's film and digital media commission. Hilary holds a BFA in Film and Television from the Savannah College of Art and Design, and for the past decade has been working for film festivals throughout the United States, including Sundance Film Festival, Savannah Film Festival, Miami International Film Festival, Illuminate Film Festival, and others. She is currently the Education and Industry Director for the Gasparilla International Film Festival. Her past festival experience includes programming, event coordination, box office, and theater and volunteer management.
