The Shared Use Path, The SUP is now open!  This bike and pedestrian bridge is finally open, linking Five Points and San Marco.  Listen now to hear what it sounded like on the grand opening, April 6, 2023.  We talked to Visit Jacksonville, representatives from RAP as well as the council members from each side of the bridge, Randy DeFoor and LeAnna Cumber.Our theme music is "Funky Riverside" written by Michael Bernos and performed by Spice and the Po Boys

Jacksonville's original neighborhood and our most bike-able community!  Springfield is filled with treasures to explore so we sat down with Kelly Rich, the Executive Director of SPAR (Springfield Preservation And Revitalization) to talk about this magnificent community and more.  We recorded this segment in Klutho Park which is the heart of the neighborhood, filled with statues, public art and an amazing frisbee golf course.  We explore the history of this vibrant area and look ahead, discussing the transformative changes that will come with the development of the Emerald Trail. This is the Art Bikes Jax podcast that  gives you an overview and highlights of your Art Bikes Jax Self-Guided Tour.  This route is called "Adams to Adams" because you will go from one end of Adams Street, around the stadium and almost to the St Johns Rive,  all the way through downtown and then to the other side of the interstate where Adams Street ends.  Laura Riggs, freelance writer who did extensive writing and research for Arbus Magazine's public art features, joins Art Bikes creator Ron Rothberg to talk about the route, highlights and how Jacksonville became home to such an internationally acclaimed collection of public art.This is a 15 mile route, but relax, your custom electric bike will do most of the work!Once you listen to this overview, you'll want to book your tour at Art Bikes Jax!
