In this episode, we are talking with Kate Condie, writer of clean historical romance, and reader of all things fiction as we discuss her latest book, A Soldier’s Vow. Kate and I met when she was in the process of writing this book, which was a special treat for me as this was focused in the early western period of the United States. Many times when we see historical romance, it tends to be set in a particular region of the world, and a particular time period at that. But the truth is there are so many historical romances out there that are set in a variety of locations and years gone by. They reflect beautifully on the details of the time period, the customs, and the hardships. And this book by Kate is just one fine example. For more information on Kate Condie, please visit: https://katecondie.wordpress.com/Music from Uppbeat (free for Creators!):https://uppbeat.io/t/swoop/morningsLicense code: FWJZLBOPYXVJZFLZMornings by SwoopAuthors who book a read with me are invited on this podcast! In our seventh episode, we are talking with Nalani Titcomb, contemporary romance author, single mom, and coffee addict as we discuss one of her latest releases, Secretary of My Heart. Nalani and I met as members of the same chat group when she’d reached out for opinions on a couple of scenes she’d written. As I may have mentioned before, authors who ask for feedback are light years ahead of authors who do not. For more information on Nalanit Titcomb, please visit:www.nalanititcomb.com.Music from Uppbeat (free for Creators!):https://uppbeat.io/t/swoop/morningsLicense code: FWJZLBOPYXVJZFLZMornings by SwoopAuthors who book a read with me are invited on this podcast! In this episode, we talk with KM Ryan, author of steamy, contemporary romance, as we discuss her latest release, The Encounter. Though her book is unquestionably a romance, we have a wonderful discussion about crafting strong friendships. Be it working with strong characters whose relationship is purely platonic, to working as an author in an industry that by its very nature is isolating, the ties that bind can sometimes be tricky. Of course, with any of her work, the friendships between her characters are truly goals for all of us to strive for in real life. For more information on KM Ryan, please visit https://kmryan.weebly.com/Music from Uppbeat (free for Creators!):https://uppbeat.io/t/swoop/morningsLicense code: FWJZLBOPYXVJZFLZMornings by SwoopAuthors who book a read with me are invited on this podcast! In our fourth episode, we have an interview with Ember Leigh, a contemporary romance author with plenty of heat and heart, as we discuss her recent release The Price of Revenge. I first discovered Ember as I was beginning my novel reading journey and attempting to satisfy my craving for Mixed Martial Arts romances. She was the second indie author I’d ever read and only added to my awareness that there were some incredible indie authors out there. For more information on Ember Leigh’s books, please go to https://emberleighromance.com/Music from Uppbeat (free for Creators!):https://uppbeat.io/t/swoop/morningsLicense code: FWJZLBOPYXVJZFLZMornings by SwoopAuthors who book a read with me are invited on this podcast! Our first episode is an interview with Anastasia Austin, a new adult and adult romance author with plenty of heat. I met Ana in 2021 when she reached out to me as a fellow author. I have found in this industry that there are two kinds of authors; those that share their candle flame, and those that hide it from others. Ana is definitely a flame sharer.I got together with Ana a few days ago to discuss her newly released book Candy. For more information on Anastasia Austin’s books, please go to www.theanastasiaaustin.com.Music from Uppbeat (free for Creators!):https://uppbeat.io/t/swoop/morningsLicense code: FWJZLBOPYXVJZFLZMornings by SwoopAuthors who book a read with me are invited on this podcast! Originally Recorded 7/2022!In our third episode, we have an interview with Natalie Sloan, reverse harem author who is otherwise known as Whitely Cox. I first came across Whitley’s books in the Fall of 2020. The pandemic was in full swing at that time, and I wound up picking up one of her books, which was the first time I’d read a romance novel in probably 10 years. I’d given them up prior, thanks to running into too many plots with questionable consent. Needless to say, I discovered that this was not a problem in any of Whitley’s books. I give her full credit for starting me back on the romance reading journey, as, at present, I’ve read over 350 romances from that day to this one. For more information on Natalie Sloan, please visit nataliesloan.com, and for information on Whitley Cox, please visit whitleycox.com. Music from Uppbeat (free for Creators!):https://uppbeat.io/t/swoop/morningsLicense code: FWJZLBOPYXVJZFLZMornings by SwoopAuthors who book a read with me are invited on this podcast! In our eighth episode, we are talking with Joey Benun, author of the critically acclaimed children’s book Pebbles and the Biggest Number. We have a wonderful conversation about what can inspire you to put pen to paper and write a book, managing your risk in a very competitive industry, and being wise and learning from all.For more information on Joey Benun, please visit https://biggestnumber.com/ Do you have a favorite author who you would like to hear interviewed on this podcast?
