One year ago a good family friend, Jan, passed away following her fight against cancer. She was truly a cancer warrior. We speak to her son-in-law,  podcaster Ken Williams , about those days around Jan's passing and how some family members grieved.  
On the other end of the microphone is Phyllis Mount- my favorite mother-in-law. We discuss her life journey as she has experienced cancer through the lives of 4 siblings and then her own experience with breast cancer. Each of her siblings, at one point in their life, had a personal battle with cancer. Enjoy, share, and subscribe! A great discussion with longtime friend, David Fuller. Join in as we discuss his cancer journey as he describes his melanoma battle. David lives in the greater Salt Lake City area of Utah. With children and grandchildren nearby he has gotten support from his family in his ultra-marathon pursuits during the past 5 years. While receiving immunotherapy he still competed in one of the most vigorous and challenging races in the country- The Hardrock 100 ultra-marathon race at 58 years of age.  David is a competitor and is fighting his cancer with the support of his family. Daughter and dad head north to Kokomo, IN in this episode. We sit down and have a wonderful conversation with longtime family friend, Alison Reeb. She shares with us her experience as a "roomie" and caregiver to her Grandma Jan over a period of 5 years. Having finished  college at BYU-Idaho she and her husband, Justin, spend a short time in Colorado with Justin's mom before deciding to move to Fishers. There she and Justin move in with Grandma and Grandpa, who heavily recruited them to move back "home." (One of the things that was mentioned in this episode was a cancer drug we referred to as the "Red Devil" because of its color. We found out the specific name of the drug is Doxorubicon.) Just follow the Golden Rule or if religious, like Dad is, live the two great commandements. Love God and Love your neighbor. If anything, follow the rules that Dad puts up for his elementary kids as he substitutes: 1) Be Kind 2) Keep your hands and feet to yourself 3) Be Kind. Yes it needs to be said twice..... cheers!

In episode 6 Daughter, Kasi, discusses her recent experience in a mental health facility in the greater Indianapolis area. What led up to her going into the emergency room and her stay in the emergency room.  She details her experience as she goes into her facility, being placed in the wrong unit and then, finally, arriving in the correct unit and what occurs their. This was a learning experience which we hope others will benefit from....cheers

Dad shares the story of how Uncle outted Joe to his brother while waiting to attend a IU football game during Joe's senior year in high school.  How social media and overly concerned church parent (nosey? busybody?) played in forcing Joe's hand to tell his parents about his being gay. Dad and Daughter with dad, Richard, and son, Greg. Greg is located in Los Angeles living the voice actor's life. Richard is in South Central Utah close to the center of the state which is very close to Levan, Utah. During our time we found out that Levan spelled backwards is Navel. Thus, a reminder, of its central location in Utah!
