This week we learned how to make some New Orleans classics at cooking school plus we learned a new drink recipe!

This week we’re just back from a two-day break at the beach and we’re very relaxed.So, we talk about the importance of taking a break, whether it’s a weekend, a long weekend, or a day trip. It doesn’t have to be a day at the beach. Do what relaxes you.Speaking of relaxing, we talk about the best way to make a refreshing and relaxing margarita.And as always, Mike tries to make life a little easier with a life hack.

We’re a little late with this week’s episode because we spent a couple of days relaxing at the beach.But, it was worth the wait, because we share a recipe for bananas foster, and tips to help you not burn down your kitchen.And, we talk about improv classes, the comedy scene in New Orleans, and the joy of taking a class together.As always, Mike has a life hack to make your life better.

Sometimes, keeping a marriage together means throwing something, like a big, sharp metal object. So, we went axe throwing! We were both a little concerned, but we left with the same numbers of arms, legs, fingers, and toes as we had when we started.We also have a great recipe for Crawfish Monica, which is a pasta dish, not a stripper from the bayou.And, as always, Mike has a great life hack!

It could be you next, dear reader.And, I’m doing a quick little bit about new recipes I’m trying. I’m branching out and trying variations on old favorites and some new, more adventurous foods. This week, I went for a creamier, dreamier version of my favorite dessert, cheesecake.Finally, Michael is sharing some of his favorite life hacks with you all. We enjoyed hiking, exploring, and eating in the beautiful Sonoma Valley. The Redwoods evoked thoughts of Star Wars and Ewoks.

We rented a bus and took a large group of family and friends on a wine tasting tour. We had fun, at least we think we did. Things may have gotten a little fuzzy.

Ever wonder if a trivia night would make for a good date? We did, too, and we learned a few things about trivia teams, choosing a team name, and each other. Like everything else we do, it was an adventure!

In an attempt to enrich our relationship through travel, we head west to San Francisco, where we take in the sights, smells, tastes, and sounds. We also get into some musical history, and indulge our love of all creatures, great, small, and flabby.
