In today's mess of an episode, we had the pleasure of sitting down once again with Phillip Beabout from Ring to Revenue to discuss the importance of business education in the wedding space. So many courses in our industry provide guidance and how-to's for each individual discipline. Phillip's approach is agnostic. He's interested in schooling you in business  no matter what you do in the wedding industry. The Ring to Revenue course is vast as it covers very basic things you might need as a completely new entrepreneur in weddings, but also very advanced concepts such as building and leading teams within your brand. The Ring to Revenue course was released on May 2. Check out the website for more details  https://ringtorevenue.com/homeYou can also find Phillip's wedding film business here to check out some of his amazing work https://www.beaboutexposure.com
In this episode of the 2 New Guys Wedding Film Podcast, we sit down with Matt Shamloo of The Midnight Project.  Matt and The Midnight Project create LUXURY WEDDING VIDEOS FOR COUPLES WHO PARTY HARD AND LOVE HARDER. In his own words: "I’ve been known to carry a few brides through the rain, so they don’t wet their wedding dresses. Think of me as the friend who has your back. There is so much to think about on your wedding day, and I’m exactly the calm, grounded presence you’ll need. I aim to create a peaceful and relaxed atmosphere for you, your friends and your family. Before I shoot your wedding, I take the time to really get to know you both (expect a few ice-breaking games over zoom, by the way) so that when the day comes, it feels like we’re old friends." We interviewed Matt today to discuss the edgy swag vibe that he creates in his films. His inso is derived from sports, movies, music and the pomp and circumstance displayed in professional wrestling. Hope you enjoy the episode and feel free to give some feedback and a follow. You can connect with Matt and The Midnight Project here or here on Instagram
In this episode of the 2 New Guys Wedding Film Podcast, we interview Seattle based wedding Videographer Amanda Sanchez from ReClick Creative. We discuss the ups and (not often talked about) downs of traveling for weddings. Destination wedding videography is an amazing and rewarding way to capture some of the most exotic locations and couples/ families that get married there. But it usually comes at a price...and we're not always talking about money. Don't forget to subscribe and leave us a review.

Managing family expectations while planning and executing a wedding can be a delicate balancing act, requiring tact, communication, and compromise. At the heart of it lies the challenge of harmonizing individual desires with familial traditions and expectations.Firstly, open communication is paramount. Couples should initiate honest conversations with their families early on, establishing clear boundaries and priorities. This helps manage expectations and avoids misunderstandings later in the planning process. Understanding each other's perspectives can foster empathy and lead to collaborative decision-making.Secondly, compromise is key. Weddings often involve various customs and rituals, and reconciling different cultural or familial traditions can be challenging. Finding middle ground where both the couple's wishes and family expectations are honored can foster a sense of inclusivity and harmony.Furthermore, setting realistic expectations is crucial. Families may envision grand celebrations or specific traditions, but financial constraints or logistical limitations may necessitate adjustments. Clear communication about budgetary constraints and logistical considerations can help temper expectations and prevent disappointment.Ultimately, prioritizing the couple's vision while respectfully considering family expectations is essential. By fostering an atmosphere of understanding, compromise, and mutual respect, couples can navigate the complexities of managing family expectations during wedding planning, creating a memorable celebration that reflects their love and values while honoring familial traditions.

Welcome to Episode 8...an important one. In this episode of New York Wedding JaM, we discuss the importance of booking a cohesive team of vendors for your wedding day. Why?When organizing a wedding, choosing a cohesive group of providers is essential because it has a big impact on the event's overall success and seamless execution. For the couple and their guests to have a flawless and unforgettable experience, the vendors' cooperation is essential. This meticulous selection procedure takes into account a number of variables, including the capacity for cooperation, collaboration, and teamwork. The linked nature of wedding services is one of the main arguments in favor of selecting a cohesive team. Each vendor contributes to a distinct component of the event, from planning, photography, video,  floral arrangements, and entertainment to the venue and cuisine. All of these components work together harmoniously to create a united and visually appealing ambiance when a team is cohesive. Another crucial factor that emphasizes how important it is to choose a cohesive team of vendors is effective communication. There are a lot of deadlines and intricacies involved in arranging a wedding, and miscommunication amongst vendors can cause confusion and disruptions. Conversely, a well-functioning team is probably going to have established lines of communication and a mutual knowledge of their tasks. This makes it possible for them to collaborate, quickly resolving problems and guaranteeing the seamless execution of the event. Moreover, a well-coordinated crew improves productivity and reduces the stress that comes with wedding preparation. Vendors who collaborate frequently are aware of one another's expectations and working methods. This familiarity facilitates faster decision-making and problem-solving by streamlining the coordinating process. As a result, the couple won't have to worry about any last-minute logistics and can instead concentrate on enjoying their big day.In the end, a well-functioning vendor team has an effect that goes beyond the wedding day. Customers who are happy with their vendors are more inclined to tell friends and family about them, which enhances the vendors' standing and commercial success. In a field where word-of-mouth recommendations are the norm, the goodwill established within a cohesive team might result in future collaboration on events. Thanks for listening ...and reading. As two vendors who quite frequently work with multi-cultural couples, Martine and I are ecstatic to delve into this topic. We having this question: how can you honor your tradition and your culture while also making the wedding experience fun, familiar and enjoyable for your American friends and colleagues. If there's one thing we want you to take away, it is the idea that it's so easy to incorporate anything into the wedding day. It doesn't have to be an all-cultural wedding or an all-American wedding. You can and should include your chosen elements...the ones that feel just right to you and your partner....and your families, if that's important to you. You can find more information about Martine's wedding planning company here: https://www.wedding-md.com/You can find more information about Jason's wedding film company here: https://hudsonfilmr.com/
