Today he and his wife remain supportive members of our group but worship at the Cathedral in Brentwood in Essex near  where they live. Mike and Sheila have two wonderful sons, one of whom has special needs. We spoke about how the challenges and blessings of raising a child with special needs impacted Mike's faith in life. You can now support me on patreon. In this week's episode I share a lecture recently delivered by the Catholic journalist Edward Pentin.  In it he reflects on the recent Synod on Synodality in Rome, from his unique perspective as a journalist who was present, and ponders if it represented a moment of hope or crisis for the Church at large. Ever calm and considered his conclusion is worthy of reflection by any Catholic who cares about the faith. I am glad to be able to share it with you. You can now support me on patreon. Thank you Fr Ed, for your guidance during this disaster. First, we need to discern what's happening. Then, we must warn the others and encourage them not to hear our words but the Word of Jesus Christ Our Saviour. It's an absolutely simple formula, but the senses are that distracted by the devil, the world and the flesh that they can't perceive the truth. Instead, they invent they're own truth, and a very different, even opposite one from the truth of the Lord. Let's preserve the Gospel.
