Suzy's Son died when he was 5 years old. He had a Mitochondrial disease and ultimately succumbed to Pneumonia. In 2020, Suzy's eldest Daughter Cameron’s body was found in a hotel in Portland, Oregon under very suspicious circumstances. Lauren's Mum passed away in 2019 after a long journey with severe Multiple Sclerosis. About 9 months after she lost her Mum, Lauren's Dad Steve was diagnosed with stage four bowel cancer. Lauren cared for him for two years and he passed away in June last year. Lauren joins us from our home City of Brisbane to remember the special people her Mum and Dad were and share stories and memories of them and how they have shaped her life. Cheryl's 8 year old daughter Rachel died from complications from a flu virus in Dec 1998. Rachel's platelets plummeted to a dangerous level, and the Doctors performed brain surgery on her, but after hours of surgery they said her brain was too swollen and she was pronounced brain dead. Georgia lost her Dad Mark at a very young age when she was just 6 years old. After a drug addiction he had stopped using but then died suddenly of pneumonia which was wrongly diagnosed.
