“Have the courage to be a Christian, which means every day is a new day and God's grace is real and his compassion and love for you is the strongest thing...in the universe."  - Montse AlvaradoIn this episode, Tim and Montse Alvarado discuss how Montse received the invitation as a lay woman to be one of the three emcees for the 10th National Eucharistic Congress. They also discuss the power of truly and intentionally encountering those around us. Just like Jesus exemplified, even our brief encounters can change people’s lives. Tim and Montse also discuss politics, how the Lord has moved through our bishops, and the future of Catholic media. As the Mystical Body of Christ, we need to be much bolder when it comes to petitioning Our Lord. In this episode, Montse tells us, “Ask! Nag! "That's not really the point of this gathering. This is a moment of renewal for the Church…a time of prayer–not an event–but a sort of a happening, a spiritual happening on behalf of the Church in the United States."  - Sister Josephine Garrett, CSFN In this episode, Tim and Sister Josephine Garrett discuss Sister Josephine’s roundabout path to religious life and how she considers herself a spiritual daughter of St. John Paul II. They also discuss how not everyone is called to attend the National Eucharistic Congress. Those who are called to attend, though, will receive the graces they desperately need to receive.Sister Josephine suggests that when it comes to the 10th National Eucharistic Congress, we shouldn’t be asking “Why?” Rather, like Mother Mary, we should be asking “How will this be?”This episode is full of laughs and the longest “rapid-fire” Q&A of all time.  Please rate, review and share with your family and friends!Click here for Sister Josephine's bookClick here for Sister Josephine's podcast To check out the video that Sister Josephine made for the Revival, click here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BTnNd5Vw2eoTo check out the video of JPII autotuned that made Tim cry, click here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AoS0eKC-XoQTo check out more about the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth, click here: https://nazarethcsfn.org/Find resources for the ongoing Revival by visiting: www.eucharisticrevival.orgFind resources for the upcoming Pilgrimages by visiting: www.eucharisticpilgrimage.orgFind resources for the upcoming Congress by visiting: www.eucharisticcongress.orgThis episode is sponsored by Saint Meinrad Seminary. "It is just calm because I'm not bringing any work in. It is just you and me and that's all it is. When I do that, I know that I'm growing in intimacy with the Lord. And when I fail to do that or I do it in my own kind of distorted and distracted way, then I know that I'm cheating."  - Father Mike Schmitz, Diocese of DuluthIn this episode, Tim and Father Mike Schmitz discuss Father Mike’s first encounter with Jesus in the Eucharist, the importance of having a consistent prayer life, and how Father Mike goes about his own prayer life. How is God calling you to pray in the season of life you’re in? If we all asked this question, as Father Mike suggests, then this Revival will indeed be impactful and powerful beyond our imagination. Please rate, review and share with your family and friends!Find more about Father Mike’s ministry at UMD by visiting: www.bulldogcatholic.orgFind resources for the ongoing Revival by visiting: www.eucharisticrevival.orgFind resources for the upcoming Pilgrimages by visiting: www.eucharisticpilgrimage.orgFind resources for the upcoming Congress by visiting: www.eucharisticcongress.org This episode is sponsored by the National Catholic Educational Association 2024 Convention. "And this is not just an event, right? It'd be like saying, ‘Well, Pentecost, it was just an event.’ No, actually the Holy Spirit showed up and the Holy Spirit transformed people. And this is what the National Eucharistic Congress is going to be."  - Bishop Cozzens, Diocese of CrookstonIn this episode, Tim and Bishop Andrew Cozzens discuss the genesis of the Eucharistic Revival, how it is “the right idea at the right time,” and our need to remain faithful in living out the Paschal Mystery.Bishop Cozzens also shares how World Youth Day had an impact on him and so many others — and how our bishops are calling for the National Eucharistic Congress to have a similar impact in July. Bishop Cozzens assures listeners that this powerful petition “will not go unanswered.” If you have ever–even remotely–considered attending the Eucharistic Congress in Indianapolis, then this episode is a must listen. Please rate, review and share with your family and friends!Find resources for the ongoing Revival by visiting: www.eucharisticrevival.orgFind resources for the upcoming Pilgrimages by visiting: www.eucharisticpilgrimage.orgFind resources for the upcoming Congress by visiting: www.eucharisticcongress.orgAn OSV Podcasts original. Is this a privilege? Are specific prayers needed when wearing them? Is there some kind of commitment needed with the church to be able to wear them? - Father Agustino Torres, CFR, Solanyi Rodriguez, and Father Patrick Baikauskas, OP In this episode Father Agustino, CFR, Solanyi Rodriguez, and Dominican Friar Father Patrick Baikauskas, OP, vice president of institutional advancement at Aquinas Institute, director of New Priory Press, and a National Eucharistic Revival preacher, go over some of the most common questions and concerns in the Catholic Church regarding veiling. The topic of veiling comes up a lot in Father Torres’ and Solanyi’s ministry to young adults. Historically, veiling in the Catholic Church has been a sign of reverence and an acknowledgement of the sacred. Our discussion will examine the history and theology behind why women always wore veils prior to Vatican II, and why there seems to be a renewed interest in the practice with younger Catholic women. They will even tackle questions about whether there is or isn’t meaning behind veil colors and fashions.Father Agustino Torres Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/oralecp/?hl=enSolanyi Rodriguez Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/solgotsoul/?hl=enCorazón Puro NY Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/corazonpuronyc/?hl=enCorazón Puro Website- https://www.corazonpuro.org/ Fr. The three sit down to discuss the humility of God and what St. Francis of Assisi has to tell modern people about Jesus. Listen as they examine questions like: Is there sanctity without suffering? Can we live in joy as St. Francis did, even in the midst of our hurt, confusion, and pain? What are some ways that we too can have or keep a Franciscan spirituality? An OSV Podcasts original. Straight from the streets of the Bronx, New York, Franciscan Friar of the Renewal and show host Fr. Agustino Torres and actress/co-host Solanyi Rodriguez are coming to you with ways to live the Catholic faith out loud in today's current cultural context. Revive, launched in partnership with the USCCB's National Eucharistic Revival, tackles real questions from everyday Catholics and those curious about the Catholic faith (La Gente). Due to struggles with the faith, misunderstanding of Catholicism, or a fear of being ridiculed or judged, the questions of La Gente remain unanswered. Their work has shown them that young people want to live their faith authentically -- they want to keep it real -- but they don't want to be "weird". Father and Solanyi show how it is done through conversations with amazing guests on what they do to keep their faith alive and authentic, what they call "revive to keep it alive".  In this first episode, Father Agustino and Solanyi give us an introduction filled with love, humor, stories, and all that we may expect from them and their future episode guests. An OSV Podcasts original.
