On this episode, co-hosts Gaby and Gwen spend some time catching up and discussing their summer plans. The two co-hosts further discuss modern nomadic lifestyles and how younger generations are leaning towards transient lifestyles due to remote work opportunities, interests in minimalism, and the desire to immerse themselves in other cultures and places outside of the United States. Gaby and Gwen also talk about how opportunities for work and school have contributed to their transience over the years and some implications of transience.
On this episode, co-hosts Gaby and Gwen spend some time catching up on current events and discussing their personal work/life balance. The two co-hosts further discuss their personal experiences of being young WoC (women of color) professionals in major cities and the challenges they've faced  since completing graduate school including, addressing microagressions in the workplace, struggling with imposter syndrome, and more. This episode serves as a guide to all women of color working in professional environments and those continuing to be trailblazers within their professions.
In this solo episode, Gaby combines narratives as both an Urban Planner and an Artist to talk about one of her favorite things - PUBLIC ART. She provides her own definition of public art, discusses the important role of public art in communities, it's personal impact on her, and types of public art opportunities she has been involved in over the last several years.
On this episode, co-hosts Gaby and Gwen talk about the impact individual choices have on shaping local economies and the importance of spending with intention. In part 2 of this 2 part episode, Gaby and Gwen continue their walk down the conversational road about walkability. They pass through the topics of walking as an explorative action, gaining Main Character Energy through Hot Girl Walks, how transit-oriented development does or does not prioritize walking, representation (or lack there of) in advocacy conversations, and much more!
In part 1 of this 2 part episode, Gwen and Gaby "take a walk" down the conversational road about walkability. They talk about what walkability means to them, examples of spaces with good and/or problematic walkability potential, narratives around walkability, and benefits of walkability.
On this episode, co-hosts Gaby and Gwen intend to talk about their experiences as MURPs (Master's of Urban and Regional Planning students) in grad school, but the episode takes an unexpected turn. The two co-hosts discuss the different experiences they've had in communal spaces, why the third space is so important, and how different physical spaces are perceived and defined.
This is part 2 of a 2 part episode where cohost Gwen describes living in Boston/New England. She discusses why she moved to the city, how she's transitioned into a new job and new role, her favorite things about New England, and what she's enjoyed so far about living in New England. All of these topics are discussed through the lens of an urban planner as well as a city gal.
