What does "independence" mean to you?It is no coincidence that this episode drop on Independence Day in the U.S.To me, ANY day of the year can be your independence day. When you recognize your innate talents, embrace them, develop them, and leverage them to create your dream life you will experience the ultimate independence. We all get caught up in circumstances but when you set you mind to a goal, develop your talents, and get into the flow... YOU... WILL... BE... UNSTOPPABLE!As with every season premier episode I introduce the reason for the season and Season 3 is no different. In this season we will explore a framework founded on the concepts of both Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi (grandfather of Flow and Positive Psychology) and Robert Fritz (creator of DMA and Technologies for Creating). Both spent the better part of their lives developing and sharing these concepts.Mihaly passed away a couple of years ago but Robert is still around and creating.I consider these two thought leaders as mentors.  I never met either but I have read, listened, and watched anything of theirs I can get my hands, eyes, or ears on.Combined with my life's work in music, acting, lean manufacturing, agile methodologies, and Servant Leadership I have developed the Creative Kraken Framework for me and all y'all to create a rich and fulfilled life.Give us a listen... What a creative lawyer? Is that allowed? It's is not only allowed but required. For those not completely familiar with all things lawyerin' in the States or Canada much is founded on case law. With case law and most court proceedings it's all about making connections between the original statutes, historical decisions (precedence and case law), and forming an argument for the current legal circumstance/situation.Sure it sounds analytical as all get out but you need to make connections to help your client or case.   Connections are not always self evident.  You need to be creative.Having said that, some people go into law and decide they don't want to be a partner in a big firm or even start their own boutique firm. This episode's guest (Chad Aboud) is one of those people.  He went on a spiritual and creative journey and discovered his passion was to help other find and live theirs (their passion).Come listen to our conversation and learn how to release your creative kraken in order to realize a rich and fulfilled life and  create a better world for everyone.Do you want to learn more about releasing YOUR creative kraken? Ever wonder what the price is for not releasing your creative kraken? Most people view "price" as a bad thing. It is not; it is simply a statement of the value ($s, power, attention, fame, <insert desired attribute here>) you can accrue based on actions you take. This show is all about informing your actions by releasing your creative kraken, embracing your passions and dreams, and leveraging your talents.AND... not all of our talents are created equal.  Some we are good at, we love them, and we have great fun and passion.  Some we picked up somewhere in our life and realized that others are will to pay us to use them.AND sometimes these talents are the same (i.e. great fun and passion AND others are willing to pay us to use them).Quite often they are not. Here in lies the "price".Some are willing to only do what they love and compensation will come (or not).Others leverage the talents others are willing to pay for and limit their passions and goals to the side. And MOST simply figure out the talents they can do and people are willing to pay for and do them (regardless that they drain their life than fill it).Come listen to my conversation with Sims Tillirson.  A realist about his passions (family, music, fun) and how he manages to create a life for them and keep pushing forward with his dreams and desired talents.Do you want to learn more about releasing YOUR creative kraken?
