In this month’s episode, we chat with Bart Sherwood, the founder of Train a Dog, Save a Warrior (TADSAW). This organization’s goal is to help service members and veterans access service dog training and animal therapy to improve their mental health and encourage independence. He works closely with the Veterans Bridge Homes, a non-profit dedicated to helping service members, veterans, and their families transition to civilian life. On this episode, we chat with Scott Burns.Scott is a USMC Veteran and the founder of 7 Days For The Troops. 7 Days For The Troops is a disabled Veteran founded organization committed to supporting Veterans and Veteran Organizations by raising funds to help fill the gaps and needs of disabled Veterans. Their core values include honoring those that serve and standing in the gap to meet their needs.
On our 10th episode, we sit down and talk to Sheriff Ennis Wright. Sheriff Wright has been the Cumberland County, NC sheriff since January of 2017.We enjoyed learning more about his career path and his vision for the department.
On this episode, we have a chance to speak to Chris Acker. Chris is a US Navy Veteran who helps give back to less fortunate Veterans through his non profit Jeeps 4 Vets. Chris is also a Mission 22 ambassador. Through his efforts, he has been able to provide food, clothing and housing for Veterans and we really enjoyed hearing his story.
On this episode, we sit down with Chief Kemberle Braden. He took over as Chief Of Police for the Fayetteville, NC police department in January of 2023. Chief Braden started his career in Law Enforcement in the 1990's and truly understands the needs and challenges that Officers face. He shares his vision and also shares the wisdom he has acquired through his career.
On our 7th episode, we speak to Kimberly Franco. During her 22nd year of service in the Army, Kimberly lost her brother to suicide. Because of what she has been through and her kind heart, she eventually founded One Common Bond. Through One Common Bond she provides grief support to those affected by sudden and tragic death. One Common Bond provides assistance, and resources from the initial time of loss, and continue to support during the long-term grief journey.
On this episode we speak to Jill Green, executive director of the General Tommy Franks Leadership Institute and Museum.General Franks was the CENTCOM commander during 9/11 and the War On Terror.We truly enjoyed learning about all of the wonderful things the Institute is doing to include offering a leadership program for youth.

You will also hear from his Wife who with the help of some organizations helped her husband come back from what he was going through.We do want to state that nothing in this episode is meant to be medical advice or treatment advice. As noted on their website "Roots for Boots provides opportunities for community members to use their gifts, talents and resources to assist in addressing the specific needs and challenges of our servicemen and women." Christy shares her journey and shares details of how she started Roots For Boots.
On our third episode, we chat with COL Steven Weintraub, the Chief Strategy Officer at Vet Tix. COL Weintraub served in the Marine Corps for 32 years and continues to serve Veterans and their families through his current role. Vet Tix is a nonprofit that helps Service Members and their families attend sporting events, concerts, performing arts, educational and family activities across the nation.
On our second episode, we sit down with Stacey Buckner, Founder and Executive Director of Off-Road Outreach. In addition to many other valuable things, Off-Road Outreach provides hot mobile showers to homeless Veterans in Fayetteville, NC. You will be inspired by learning about all she and Off-Road Outreach do for Veterans to include her new tiny homes initiative.
On our debut episode, we speak to Elaine Lowry Brye. Elaine is a Military Mom who has 4 children in the Military (one in the Air Force, Army, Marines and Navy). She is the author of the book "Be Safe Love Mom."
