MedStar Health has been medically volunteering at the Boston Marathon for a handful of years now. Low back pain is a common condition experienced by lacrosse athletes of all levels. Dr. Grant teaches us the differentiation between cardiology and sports cardiology. He describes the types of patients he sees from ones with a cardiac history all the way to the other end of the spectrum for sports performance purposes, and everything in between.  Dr. Grant educates us on the normal differences and adaptations in the heart secondary to sport and when concerns may arise in the athletic population. Maria enthusiastically teaches us about the Stress First Aid continuum and how to best utilize it to optimize our wellbeing in the workplace.
