Civica Rx, a non-profit pharmaceutical company, is changing the insulin marketplace with its announcement to manufacture insulin at a steep reduction in price. The state of California has partnered with Civica RX and has announced, "CalRx insulins manufactured by Civica are expected to have a manufacturer-suggested retail price of no more than $30 per 10 mL vial and no more than $55 for a box of five 3 mL pre-filled pens, a significant discount to prices charged to uninsured individuals today. " This insulin will be available to all Americans.  CEO Ned McCoy gives us the details on Civica Rx and this huge change to the upcoming prices of the insulin they will be manufacturing.
