Many people have the misconception that Hand Therapy means Hand Massage. Sorry to burst your bubble guys, but Hand Therapists, Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists do not function the same as a Massage Therapists.  Our qualifications, scopes of practice and skill sets are very different. Although we use massage as a part of our tool in the treatment whenever it is required, we are not confined to massage per se. Massage falls within the encompassing term of Manual Therapy.
