It's our 25th episode and what better way to celebrate than on World Theatre Day!Here at 12months 12stories we are thrilled to bring you an episode that's full of beautiful new words and amazing performances. It's positively bursting in the wings of the theatre, darling! We're just dying to get on stage to entertain you! We have 'Treading the Boards' written by Ellen McGuinness, performed by Katie Beudert. 'Soliloquy' written by Erin Murray Quinlan and performed by Miriam Babooram. 'Tailoring' written by Eleanor Capaldi, performed by Avril Poole. 'A Place of Seeing' written by Nick Maynard and performed by Gennifer Becouarn. And because you demanded an encore, 'Celebrate World Theatre Day'  written and performed by De-ann Black.With special thanks to Lily Chantry for being the voice of our company stage manager. To celebrate World Poetry Day we are proud to share on 12months 12stories, Queer Bodies Dance with Ghosts. A beautiful poem written, performed and sound designed by Kizza Salt. Enjoy! 

Inspired by Victorian Christmas ghost stories, and A Christmas Carol, 12months 12stories is excited to bring you this holiday season, The Big House. Written by Rebecca Palmer, Performed and Sound Designed by Deborah Wastell. The Big House is a story about a particular journey home one Christmas eve, but also the journey they'll take in to the past, and the lives that came before them. Special thanks to, Jonathan Cobb, Charlotte Clark, Rosie James, Miriam Babooram, Andrew Hobday, and Patrick Lynch.  Please note this story has themes of death, and death by burning. Recommended 14+

A beautiful, haunting halloween special, brought to you from the team behind the brilliant 4th episode, Meanwhile The World Goes On. Does the past ever truly die? And if not, where does it lie in wait, waiting to be heard. Waiting to be seen.  Recommended 14+ 

Douglas and The Bus, written and performed by Trevor Windsor. Sound designed by Rebecca Palmer. A charming tale about finding your way, purpose, at the end of all your days. Could you work for the Ghost Bus Tours? Sandwiches and a hot drink go nicely with this story. Themes of death. Recommended 14+

Imprints, performed by Zachary Wilcox. Written and sound designed by Rebecca Palmer. The autumnal equinox is happening on the 23rd September 2023, marking the end of summer and the beginning of autumn. Feeling inspired by the change in seasons, we wondered what would nature tell us if it could? What stories would it share with us? Take sand for instance... what would they talk about given the chance? All those memories imprinted on to their very being, but which ones to share. Recommended 14+ Trigger warnings, mention of suicide, loss of a child, grief, death. 

Episode 19!  'Overload' A bonus episode inspired by, Earth Hour https://www.earthhour.org/  are you taking part? 8.30pm GMT this evening for one hour, switch off, because time is precious, and every hour counts. Written by Barnaby McArthur, sound designed by Mark Desebrock. Performed by Mark Desebrock, Barnaby McArthur, and Rebecca Wingham.  The clock is ticking. 

A bonus episode for Valentines Day!  What a treat. Apple Core Love, a gorgeous poem written and performed by Vikki Hughes-Swick   Recommended 14+

Stick it to The Man! (Santa) written and sound designed by, Rebecca Palmer. Performed by, Kit Sinclair and Phoebe Spence-Evans. Bubble Wrap and Candy Cane, two of Santa’s elves, have found themselves in a spot of bother. Can they set, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer free and have the Christmas of their dreams? Better tune in to find out! A Christmas story from a new perspective. Just head beyond the wishing well, but stop way before the volcano of bad dreams.      Happy Holidays! Recommended 12+ 

Are You Sitting Comfortably, written and sound designed by Julia Warren. Performed by Jonathan Brandt. Did you hear that? Did the computer just type a message all by itself? It couldn't possibly be, could it? Am I being silly, or was that the sound of a horse and carriage outside the window? So many questions... better get comfy, settle down, listen to this spooky tale of mystery and murder, the answers you seek await.  Happy Halloween.   Recommended 14+ 

Tapeworm, written by Sam Buss. Performed by Thomas Ghaleb. A man is on the stand in court, his only defence is that the tapeworm in his stomach is responsible for all of his crimes. Try as he might, it is doubtful that anyone will believe him. But is it the truth? Recommended 14+

Sugar and Spice and All Things Nice, written by Molly Sweeney. Sound designed by Rebecca Palmer. Performed by Mark Desebrock.Kat has a Paul and Josh, she's not being rude, she's just being real. Paul and Josh have a Kat, and they navigate together parent and carers evenings, Kat's questions (she asks questions because she want's to know the answers) Kat's little sister Lily who has a Claudia... and how they together, as a unit, deal with a Claudia. About adoption and fostering.   Recommended 14+  

All of my Days, written and directed by Sean Matthews. Edited and sound designed by Rebecca Palmer. Performed by Jonathan Cobb. Our man lives just down the road from the local shop, and little do they know that their biggest adventure is also, just around the corner. All of My Days is a story about looking for things in the right places. Specifically written for fans of Hula Hoops crisps... but you can also listen if you hate them. Recommended 14+  

To celebrate pride month, 12months 12stories is proud to present a bonus episode of beautiful new words, consisting of, 'Refracted' written by Carla Rudgyard and performed by Taylor Waggoner. 'New Thoughts' written and performed by Kara Hakanson. 'Pride is Not a Party' written and performed by Jasmin Mandi-Ghomi. 

A Confession, written and directed by Ruth Carnegie, edited and sound designed by Rebecca Palmer. Performed by, Callum Tilbury and Lin Sagovsky. When you recognise someone over and over again, but they outwardly change every time you see them, how do you build up the courage to say something? To tell them that you truly see them. That you know who... or perhaps more correctly, know what they are. Trigger warnings - discussions of terminal illness and death  Recommended 14+

Written by Rebecca Palmer. Performed and edited by Lily Chantry. 'Earwigging' is May's 12months 12stories! Donna is having a cheeky half hour to herself, day dreaming she's on a date with the one and only, Keanu Reeves, when she's distracted by the conversation of the two women behind her. A distraction with embarrassing consequences. Earwigging is a tale as old as time, and Donna falls head over heels for the drama. Recommended 14+ 

Written by Rebecca Palmer, directed and sound designed by Charlotte Ive. Performed by Naomi Cooper-Davis (Charlotte), Jill Stanford (Carol), and Sarah Wanendeya (May). April's 12months 12stories explores family dynamics, and what can happen at a seemingly ordinary get together when unexpected questions are asked. Questions that pull at the very roots of the family, shaking their foundations, exposing them to the past, present and future. Questions that could leave a family broken forever.  Recommended 16+ / Trigger warning - please note there are brief references to miscarriage, and strong language throughout.    

That Day is written and performed by Lanna Joffrey. A very honest and true piece of that day in New York City on September 11th. Please be aware of trigger warnings, this piece does contain content of violence to women and hate crime.
