On today's episode we talk about pyschers in the Imperium of Mankind. How many are there (originally a lot, but that number diminishes quickly). We then take a quick dive into Navigators and Astropaths and how critical they are to the Imperium. After that we dive into the Black Ships and the incredible nightmare that they are. We then finalize with what the Imperium is really doing with all the psychers they place in the black ships. *spoiler alert* it is not fes...
On Today's episode we take conclude our deep dives into the ruinous powers. On today's cast we will talk about Grandfather Nurgle and Slaanesh. Who they are, what they represent, and their defining traits. From there we talk about their relms and the ways that they interact with the materium. We then move onto some of their more famous and key units (nurglings for the win). Lastly we talk about how the Imperium (the inquisition primarily) feel about e...
On Today's episode we take our first of two deep dives into the ruinous powers. Our focus is on Khorne and Tzeentch. Who they are, what they represent, and their defining traits. From there we dive into their daemonic followers and a couple of their more famous units. Lastly we talk about how the Imperium (the inquisition primarily) feel about each god and the level of threat they pose to the Imperium itself.
On today's episode we dive into the origins of the Ruinous Powers. How the warp went from a tranquil see of power to a nightmare realm that is ravaging the materium. Who's fault was it, how did it happen, why does GW do lame writing that makes no sense on this topic, and more. We then do a shallow dive into each god as we will next be doing deep dives into each of them. Finally we conclude with Chaos Undivided because why wouldn't we take some time to talk about Be'lakor?
On today's quite long episode we talk about what is a Space Marine. We realized we could not talk about a Space Marine without also talking about their power armor. Rather than make two short episodes we just did a super long one. Today we start by talking about how a Space Marine is recruited, tested, and then turned into a Space Marine. Do at least 2 of the organs serve no function? Yes! We then we dive into what happens when you add a super suit of armor ...
On this episode we continue our dive into the lore of the Necrons. We pick up as they begin to awaken in the galaxy. One that is very much on fire and getting worse. We dive into the process and phases of a tomb world awakening. From there we dive into some of the incredibly advanced weaponry of the Necrons (including a John rant about what Gauss is and is not!). Then we finish up with what the Necrons are up to in the start of 10th edition.
Episode 30 - Necrons pt 1

Episode 30 - Necrons pt 1

2024-04-1501:00:37

On this episode we begin our deep dive into the lore of the Necrons. Starting back at the dawn of the galaxy and the rise of the Necrontyr. Episode 29 - Ahriman Pt 2

Episode 29 - Ahriman Pt 2

2024-04-0801:19:57

On this episode we finalize out coverage of the greatest human sorcerer (outside of the primarchs, emperor, and malcador) Ahriman. On today's episode Ahriman arrives in the warp and is extra pissed off. From there embarks on the (at this point) most powerful spell ever performed, goes on the run, changes his mind and gives chase to his pursuers, only to finally uplift himself as the most powerful member of the Thousand Sons, after Magnus. From there he has some fun mani...
On this episode we cover the origins of the infamous sub-leader of the Thousand Sons. Ahriman is one of the oldest (non-perpetual) characters in 40k game. From his birth on Terra to his arrival in the immaterium we cover many of the key events (betrayals) that set Ahriman on his path. With an especial focus on his obsession with curing his legion and brothers from a terrible mutation.
On this episode we cover where the vast majority of the citizens of the Imperium live. In fact probably close to 90% of them live in Hive Cities. Are they good places to live? no, in fact might be the worst. Crime? yep. Daemons? yep. Roving bands of raiders and marauders under your feet? also yep. Not to mention corruption, disease, industrial accidents, and corpse starch. So hop in for a fun trip to an imperial hi...
On this episode we cover where citizens of the Imperium can live. yeah most of them are not great. Unless you are in the nobility class, in which case most are awesome. Do you want to live on a planet of munitions? Planet of food growth? How about a Forge World or a Knight World. Personally we would pass on sentinel or Fortress Words, but you do you. * Also sorry for the lozenges, but it was that or blow everyone's ears out with violent coughing*
On this episode we cover every imperial citizen's greatest fear: the inquisition. How each branch is structured and how they interact with each other (*spoiler alert not all that well*). We then dive into the lives of an inquisitor, their retinues, how they move through imperial space. We then talk about how an inquisitor achieves their job and the endless dangers from all sides. Lastly we spend time discussing whether the inquisition are the "good guys" or the ...
Episode 24 - The Ordo Xenos

Episode 24 - The Ordo Xenos

2024-03-0501:06:15

On this episode we cover the creation of a certain inquisitor's chapter. We talk about the galaxy of necessity that born the Ordo Xenos and some of its key elements, including a brief origin (and a badass one at a that) of the Death Watch. We then dive into the necessity of the Ordo Xenos both to the imperial structure but also for the citizenry. Lastly we debate which of the three branches of the Inquisition do the least harm.
On this episode we cover the rise of the worship of the emperor. From thew lowly cults on random worlds through the full blown Ecclesiarchy. We also dive into the reign of blood, creation of the sisters of battle, and some fun side stories. Including a great story of the Custodes doing some pretty cool crap.
Episode 22 - Rogue Traders

Episode 22 - Rogue Traders

2024-02-2001:08:24

On today's cast me move away from regimented canon to more "rumor" lore, with our coverage of the Rogue Traders. We cover what a Rogue Trader is, how they become one, and how they function within the imperium (they are very critical). We also dive into some of their models and ways to play with them in the 40k Universe.
On this episode we conclude (for now) our coverage of Abaddon the Despoiler. We cover Abaddon from the 1st black crusade through the conclusion of the 13th. do we cover all of the crusades? No because some of them were lame. Do we find a way to talk about Orks? You have to ask?Come join us as we round out the coverage of Abaddon the Despoiler (*spoiler alert* Cadia does not stand)
On today's episode we cover the rise of Abaddon to war master of the black legion. From a broken man wandering the warp alone, and a broken legion on the door of destruction, rises the greatest threat the imperium has ever faced. Join us as we cover Abaddon uniting the legions, killing his predecessor, and holding HR meetings with all of the captains about "what is it exactly, that they do here?"*sorry in advance for the lozenges we had to eat. It was that our cough the whol...
On this episode we cover the origins of the most hated/wanted being in the entire 40k Universe. Follow as we talk though Abaddon's origins on Cthonia, followed by his rise through the Luna Wolves, up until his despondency after the failure of Horus' rebellion. Also some diatribes about his top knot.
On our final episode (for now) on the Dark Angels, we cover some of their key units, detachments, and why they are an enjoyable faction to play. Do you want to go super fast and shoot plasma at everything?? instead would you like to go super slow and LOL as your opponent shoots/punches your terminators? Do you like an army that Brad can only see 60% of the colors in? All these reasons and more we will cover today.
On this Episode we cover the Dark Angels after they are reunited with their Primarch. Their reemergence as the imperium's main fighting legion, the actions during the Heresy, and their actions post Heresy. If you thought the 1st Legion was good at keeping secrets, wait till you see how far the Dark Angels are willing to go to keep secrets. Also, they really like revenge, like a lot!
