Be sure to listen, try to enjoy, and pester Ryan about playing DDLC before we record again.Cracked packs included:Paradoxical OutcomeAnointed ProcessionCommit/MemoryIntro and Outro credit: “La La Triroriro” By Rolemusic (freemusicarchive.org)Licensed under Creative Commons: Attribution 4.0http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/ ?

Hello and welcome to Get Good! We’ve got a fun size portion for you this week, but don’t think for one second that means we improved a damn thing! We’ve got Dark Souls screw ups, Hall of Fame entries, and other delightful goodies for you in the fun bag. So reach on in and pull out a fresh new handful of Get Good!Leave it to Amazon to ruin surprises… Darksiders 3 has been officially announced after an Amazon leak, and it seems to be pretty far in development. As is annual tradition, the oft forgotten Video Game Hall is remembered as it inducted its newest members: Halo, Dankey Kang, Pokemon Red/Green, and Street Fighter 2. Lastly, in the buggy world of programming, a recent update to GTA V made the most innocent of NPCs vanish. The convenience store clerks. They returned soon after their rapture, but I hope they enjoyed their brief respite not getting brutally murdered for $150.Shameless plugs!Friend of the show Rhojin streams quite often and Spiffy can be found there with some frequency. Instead of apologizing for the hiatus, we’re just gonna call this a new season and force shitty tequila down Nick’s throat as recompense. Good enough? Moving on!There’s no real structure to this week’s episode and frankly, there was too much Mexican death liquor involved for me to remember. We’ve got lasts of the usual, last game releases of the year, last newsy bits, and last bad jokes. Looks like the boys are going to fall back into Starbound again as it updates to Starbound 1.2. In fact, Raz got a little lost in it while cobbling together this week’s image. For those of you that aren’t Spiffy and enjoy the majesty that is the Dualshock 4, Steam adds support for the controller. Yooka-Laylee announced a release date, coming April 11, 2017. It’s that time of year again, where gaming publications and Geoff Keighley lock themselves in a room, and smoke 50 pounds of peyote before blindly throwing darts at a board to give out awards. This time, however, we join the masses in calling their bullshit. We know they’ll never listen, but it’s nice to vent. We went on this for two hours. Listen or click the link here for the winners. The trailers! Really, the only reason to watch Keighley wank off on stage for two hours. EPISODE 50 - Someone let us make it this far.Happy 50th episode, dear listeners. I guess we made it this far and now it’s time to keep going. It’s been great fun being a part of this and everyone is looking forward to the next 50. Without further ado, here comes your linkdump.Resident snake-oil salesman, Peter Molyneaux emerges from his hole with sweet little lies and sky high dreams. Despite Lionhead closing down and the team scattered to the wind, the physical embodiment of David Cage’s talent wants to bring you Fable 4. Facing a problem only shared by Scrooge McDuck, and anyone else is a gold coin swimming pool, WoW players have too much gold on hand and not enough to spend it on. At first, Blizzard tried to solve it by letting players buy game time, but even that proved to be too little. Now, the good folks at Blizzard want to let you buy their full games with WoW Gold. Save those coins!Pokemon Sun/Moon is out and comes packaged with some neato things. First, players using a save editor encounter a bug in pokemon centers that lock them out of their game permanently. Good. But there are also new features, including QR scans and item scans. These help you fill your pokedex and hunt pokemon not native to Alola. Episode 49 - Pokemon S.T.A.R.S.Another week, another episode. Hello and welcome to Get Good, where even on the slow weeks we can fill 2 hours of air. Tyler’s back again to bring us the latest on his Gears of War obsession, while Ryan tortures Nick with tales of absurd ARGs. Pokemon is also out finally, but we’ll be back next week with our impressions.  This week in game releases:TuesdayTelltale Batman Episode 4Amnesia CollectionDarksiders: Warmastered EditionDragon Ball Fusions ARGs. Usually long. Usually not worth it. Somehow continue to be used. Long running ARG for Frog Fractions 2 has been found to be linked with almost as long Eye Sigil ARG, leading to disappointment for the Eye Sigil hunters, and elation for the Frog Fraction folks. Where does it go from here? Sadness probably. Speaking of let down mysteries, the Chilead Mystery in GTA V may have been nothing more than a summary of the single player story. As we remarked on last week, Assassin’s Creed 2 trilogy got a remaster for modern consoles. At the time, we thought it looked amazing. Unfortunately, as is par for the Assassin’s Course, it is plagued with bugs galore.Coming soon to Apple devices (and presumably Android soon after), Super Mario Run! Free demo will be available along side the full game for $9.99For the most part, Pokemon games come in threes. The first two release together, and the third follows along as a mix of the originals. Well, the trend may continue this generation with Sun and Moon being followed up by Stars. Not only that, but it will be on the Switch, making it the first mainline Pokemon game on home console. Please check out our partner podcasts:Nerd Porn Podcast, Pop Culture Leftovers, Comic Slobs, Friday Night Fandom, and Scene-It CastIntro and Outro credit: “La La Triroriro” By Rolemusic (freemusicarchive.org)Licensed under Creative Commons: Attribution 4.0http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/
Episode 48 - No Man’s Sky Was a MistakePrepare for a literal RIOT as Riot Game’s own Cory Heysham joins us this week. Known as Rhojinquest on Twitch, he’s here to promote his channel as he streams for Extra Life, and play Switzerland to Raz and Spiffy’s Final Fantasy fights. The NES Mini is out and true to form, they’re in short supply. Also true to form? Nerds are complaining about the short supply instead of learning from the last times Nintendo short stocked the shelves. Final Fantasy XV is almost here and the long advertising campaign is almost over. There is still one (maybe two) last things. Amazon is hosting a browser based game that, if you complete all activities, will grant you game DLC the receive the Gae Bolg, Mage Mashers, and something else I’m completely blanking on. Also, Japan is getting another demo. The PS4 Pro came out. Here’s a skeptic’s view. Please check out our partner podcasts:Nerd Porn Podcast, Pop Culture Leftovers, Comic Slobs, Friday Night Fandom, and Scene-It CastIntro and Outro credit: “La La Triroriro” By Rolemusic (freemusicarchive.org)Licensed under Creative Commons: Attribution 4.0http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/

This week in game releasesNov 8 - TuesdaySome VR Things, primarily Eagle FlightHarvest Moon: Skytree VillageNov 11 - FridayDishonored 2¿Quién es Sombra? Well now we know! After months of drawn out ARG, missing the ideal announcement day of Dia de los Muertos, Blizzard opened BlizzCon by announcing Sombra. A Mexican hacker with a machine pistol and the ability to go invisible, teleport, and disable other hero’s abilities. She should hit the Test Server this Tuesday and be along in the main game later this month. Not only will the Necromancer be returning to Diablo 3, but Blizzard is also remaking Diablo 1, bringing in a filter to restore the grainy look of D1, and the option to use 8 directional movement. There’s no date or price attached to the Rise of the Necromancer pack, but expect it sometime next year.Animal Crossing New Leaf is bringing in Amiibo support, adding 50+ characters to your little slice of Purgatory. Now you too can have 15 versions of Link and Mario to run errands for.Deciding that selling personal information is not enough, Facebook decides to take on Steam thinking that they can succeed where Origin, UPlay, etc. failed. Introducing Facebook Gameroom, a desktop app where you can play all your pay-to-win mobile games from the comfort of your desk. And finally, we bring you the title of the next Tomb Raider game: Shadow of the Tomb Raider, developed by Eidos Montreal. Happy Halloween my spooky listeners! After realizing just a few hours before recording that we’re dropping the episode on Halloween, we hurriedly cobbled together our lists of Top 5 Spookiest Games. We didn’t really hit the news topics, but you’ll still find some links below. This week in game releasesNov 1 - TuesdayBlaz Blue: Central FictionOwlboyNov 4 - FridayMario Party Star Rush - 3DSCoD: Infinite Warfare Pokemon releases what we hope is the final trailer for Pokemon Sun & Moon, showing off the final evolutions of the starters, leading to relief and surprises. We also get a peek at some new legendaries. Either way, they tweeted “No Man’s Sky was a mistake”, then turned their Twitter to Private. Nintendo announces the NX, Ryan switches from Angry Dome to Excited Dome, and you guys get a peek at our Let’s Play plans. Boy, are you getting a bunch of treats this week, my dudes! This week in game releasesOct 25 - TuesdayBatman Telltale Ep 3Dragonball Xenoverse 2 - ConsolesJust Dance 2017King’s Quest Chapter 5World of Final FantasyOct 28 - FridaySkyrim HDDragonball Xenoverse 2 - PCTitanfall 2Off the heels of the Sombra ARG update, the Overwatch Test Servers also updated. Only they forgot to bring Sombra with it. Instead, we just get some hero updates including a D. Va super buff and Torbjörn overhaul. Four months late, Rockstar finally released the E3 trailer for Read Dead Redemption 2. But, as they didn’t show any details and it was overshadowed by the Nintendo trailer, we don’t spend time on it. I think Spiffy is just salty there’s no PC announcement.Nintendo, after months of speculation and rumors, finally show off the NX. Introducing the Nintendo Switch! Truly, the hybrid console that could actually change the market. While the trailer answered many questions, it also left some unanswered and raised others. No more official news will be released until next year, leaving Nintendo 3 months of full marketing. At least Spiffy is satiated. Please check out our partner podcasts:Nerd Porn Podcast, Pop Culture Leftovers, Comic Slobs, Friday Night Fandom, and Scene-It CastIntro and Outro credit: “La La Triroriro” By Rolemusic (freemusicarchive.org)Licensed under Creative Commons: Attribution 4.0http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/

Episode 42 - Genital MagicianBrought to you by alcohol! Yes, alcohol, doubling the length of podcasts since whenever you choose to believe podcasting started. We can’t say we remember a lot of it, but we sure laughed a lot. That means it was good, right? Right?! Guys? Hello...?This week in game releasesOct 4:Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide [PS4, XBO], Rocksmith 2014 - Remastered [Win, PS4, XBO]Oct 7:FNaF: Sister Location [Win], Mafia III [Win, PS4, XBO], Paper Mario: Color Splash [WiiU], The Silver Case Remaster [Win]One of the last surviving holdouts of the Vaporware Empire, Beyond Good & Evil 2 rises once more to remind us of its existence. BG&E1 Director Michael Ansel posts new concept art on Instagram and Ubisoft recommends that fans watch closely. Proving once more that Microsoft is out of shits to give, an N64 emulator appears on the X1 store briefly alongside the NES emulator we reported on previously. Both seem to have been pulled, for now. In the meantime, just pull out your Rare Replay for the same experience. Spiffy has been so desperate for Nintendo NX news, that I’ve gone and dug up a Chinese knock-off rumor, including scribbly doodles and confusing details. Maybe we’ll found out what the NX is this month.Twitch to ditch their current model by linking your Twitch account to Amazon Prime, allowing you a free channel subscription, in-game bonuses, and even a free game. If you already have Amazon Prime, make sure to link them up.INDIE DOME:Princess Maker 2: From the makers of Evangelion comes this 23 year old princess simulator, finally in English!Holy Potatoes! We’re In Space?!: FTL, but more Rogueier-like. Rogue-likeier? Whatever.Nidhogg 2: Like the last one, with better graphics, questionable design, and 50% more penis.Honey Rose: Half Fighting Game, half Visual Novel, distinct lack of Haitch face. Intro and Outro credit:“La La Triroriro” By Rolemusic (freemusicarchive.org)Licensed under Creative Commons: Attribution 4.0http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/
This week, the LA Times’ Tyler Chatham, from the LA Times, joins the guys on an adventure through the world of Chinese Knock-off League of Legends, a PS4 update for literally no one, and the death throes of a game developer so bad they make David Cage look like Shigeru Miyamoto.Digital Homicide commits virtual suicide when they pull 100 Steam users and Valve itself to court. In other Steam news, Steam has adjusted their changes to the review system. Meanwhile, base PS4s got HDR support. The only problem being that HDR doesn’t really exist outside 4K and game devs were surprised by the HDR announcement. So, while the base PS4 can now push HDR, there are no movies, streams, or games that currently support it. Intro and Outro credit: “La La Triroriro” By Rolemusic (freemusicarchive.org)Licensed under Creative Commons: Attribution 4.0http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/
Welcome back to to slow news week, volume 2. Tyler joins us again to pad out the week and give his thoughts on the Bioshock Remaster, while we also dish on the new RE7 trailer, force out a theory, and watch another Silent Hill go down the drain. The PS4 4.00 Update rolled out bringing us such gifts as FOLDERS!, 1080p Netflix Streaming (for Ps4 Pro only...), And Data Transfer between consoles. All of which should have been part of the original OS, but took 3 years to do. Oh, they also added HDR.Chris Metzen leaves Blizzard. Dude got a job because of D&D and gets to retire in his 40s and we’re all jealous.Update: Craig Amai (WoW Quest Designer) and James Waugh (Lead Writer Legacy of the Void) also depart.Resident Evil 7 updates its demo and dishes out a new trailer. Meet the Bakers, eat some people, and explore a whole new part of the mansion that apparently has nothing to do with the actual game.A pilot pitch for a Silent Hill game surfaced online. From Climax Studios (SH: Origins & Shattered Memories) and slated for early PS3, follow Father Santos through a small town in Arizona suffering from a mean case of Time Compression. Next time he should just call SeeD.Editor’s note: NO ONE should ever call SeeD, as they are super useless and can’t negotiate a decent contract to save their lives. They’re like a bullshit version of the A-Team.Kojima, not being one for detail, lets loose that Death Stranding is an open World game with bits of co-op. He only just chose a game engine, so don’t expect this game for a few years.Intro and Outro credit:“La La Triroriro” By Rolemusic (freemusicarchive.org)Licensed under Creative Commons: Attribution 4.0http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/
There are a lot of news and a lot of games coming out this week, but none of that matters since I’m locking myself away in a dumpster, playing my garbage games. So, I’ll just let Spiffy run you through all that’s going on this week.Sony finally announces the PS4K (officially PS4 Pro) and the PS4 Slim. The Slim will be out for $299.99 on Sept 15th with no new features, just a usual slim upgrade. The PS4 Pro, Sony’s 4K system will be out Nov 10 for $399.99. Despite a strong start this generation, Sony continues to drop the ball. PSN price increase, No 4k Blu Ray player in the Pro, no mods for Fallout or Skyrim on the PS4. Will they regain their momentum?Shambling zombie of the past, Interplay, is hosting an IP yard sale and shedding all they own.
