Description

A film podcast exploring the best and worst under-the-radar movies released in the past 18 months. We focus on those movies that might have fallen through the cracks. Not the major blockbusters or the billion dollar grossers, but the quality cinema swimming just beneath the surface. And when we aren’t reviewing those under-the-radar movies, we find fun topics in the film industry to discuss. Whether it’s comedy specials, short films, the Oscars, trailer reactions, movie news, or just things we’re into, we do it for a laugh and to help you learn a thing or two.

This week, we explore “Citizen Kane.” Not the Orson Welles classic, but the story of sovereign citizens Jerry and Joe Kane, a father and son who perpetrated unspeakable acts of violence in furtherance of their extremist ideology. SlashFilm even named it “The Most Underrated Movie Of 2025.” It’s Christian Swegal's Sovereign.Check us out on...Twitter @TSMoviePodFacebook: Time SensitiveInstagram: @timesensitivepodcastGrab some Merch at TeePublicBig Heads Media

If you’re looking for a bleakly comedic look at modern dating—a situationship with a side of some light BDSM and the cabin-in-the-woods trope, this episode is for you. It is love or lunacy? A House of Dynamite

A House of Dynamite

2026-02-2001:19:41

“At the end of the Cold War, global powers reached the consensus that the world would be better off with fewer nuclear weapons. That era is now over.” It’s gripping cinema. It also feels like Obama fan fiction, and it ignores the basic tenants of nuclear strategy. It’s Kathryn Bigelow’s A House of Dynamite.Check us out on...Twitter @TSMoviePodFacebook: Time SensitiveInstagram: @timesensitivepodcastGrab some Merch at TeePublicBig Heads Media
Twinless

Twinless

It’s the Golden Globe nominated Time Sensitive. We’ve got a great show for you this week. We are back for Season 8 with what Variety calls, “An ingeniously squirmy and borderline inappropriate ‘bromance.’” We’re talking codependence, grief, and discomfort that can point the way to deeper truths. It’s a Fight Club meetcute. It’s It Takes Two meets Dear Evan Hansen. Is it cruel, or is it kinky? Either way, it’s James Sweeney’s Twinless.Check us out on...Twitter @TSMoviePodFacebook: Time SensitiveInstagram: @timesensitivepodcastGrab some Merch at TeePublicBig Heads Media

Megalopolis

Megalopolis

2025-11-1455:04

This is our final film review of Season 7, and we decided to go out with a bang: a bizarre labor of love that provokes as much confusion as it does admiration. A film fifty years in the making, equal parts science fiction, political allegory, and personal manifesto from one of the greatest living directors. It’s proof that some people still haven’t processed 9/11, and quite possibly the only place you’ll see an Asian Elvis impersonator singing “America the Beautiful.” It’s Megalopolis, written, directed, produced, and funded by the legendary Francis Ford Coppola.Check us out on...Twitter @TSMoviePodFacebook: Time SensitiveInstagram: @timesensitivepodcastGrab some Merch at TeePublicBig Heads Media
Pavements

Pavements

2025-11-0743:52

This week, we profile—to borrow the headline from The New York Times—”A sly ode to the last band you’d give the biopic treatment.” Self-proclaimed as “a new experimental biopic-doc hybrid,” it’s designed to glorify Stockton—the Cleveland of California, deliberately alienate potential fans, commemorate the revolutionary act of singing out of tune, and both introduce and simultaneously immortalize the The World’s Most Important and Influential Band. It’s Alex Ross Perry’s Pavements. Check us out on...Twitter @TSMoviePodFacebook: Time SensitiveInstagram: @timesensitivepodcastGrab some Merch at TeePublicBig Heads Media

It’s that time of year again! Throughout the entire month of October, Time Sensitive has been devoted to blood, guts, and the BEST classic and under-the-radar horror films, and this week, we bring the 2025 edition of the Festival to a close with a dark ornithological fairytale. That’s right, this episode is going to the birds. Literally. It's What's Inside

It's What's Inside

This week’s episode is not a profile of a traditional horror film, per se, but one which utilizes a conventional horror trope in a new way. If you could switch bodies with someone, would you do it? Maybe Greg Jardin’s It’s What’s Inside can make you change your mind? It’s that time of year again! Throughout the entire month of October, Time Sensitive will be devoted to blood, guts, and the BEST classic and under-the-radar horror films. We won’t be profiling a single film in this episode. We won’t be profiling two films in this episode. We will be profiling and comparing all three films of the 28 Days Later franchise, which span over two decades, and will continue to thrill audiences in the coming years.Check us out on...Twitter @TSMoviePodFacebook: Time SensitiveInstagram: @timesensitivepodcastGrab some Merch at TeePublicBig Heads Media
Nosferatu

Nosferatu

“Enduring night. A spectre of death. He spreads his shadow, and he’s coming.” An intertitle from a 1922 film reads: “Nosferatu. Does this word not sound like the deathbird calling your name at midnight? Beware you never say it—for then the pictures of life will fade to shadows, haunting dreams will climb forth from your heart and feed on your blood.” This week, we continue our seventh annual Freaky Film Festival with a gothic horror remake. It’s that time of year again! Throughout the entire month of October, Time Sensitive will be devoted to blood, guts, and the BEST classic and under-the-radar horror films. This week, we kick off our seventh annual Freaky Film Festival with a ghost story, a whodunnit, a jump-scare freakout, a twisty slow-burn psychothriller, and a revenge saga all wrapped into one taut little horror film. It incorporates haunted artifacts, supernatural powers, a thoughtfully considered locale, a creepy orderly, a man with a glass eye, and a deeply fascinating and unsettling lead character. Oh, and it’s Irish. It’s Damian McCarthy’s Oddity. Check us out on...Twitter @TSMoviePodFacebook: Time SensitiveInstagram: @timesensitivepodcastGrab some Merch at TeePublicBig Heads Media
Oh, yeah, eh? It’s-a movie time! Every time Sam and Ian review an under-the-radar movie on this show, we read the distributor’s own stylized plot description—likely drafted by a team of marketing professionals—before providing our own. And oftentimes, the PR language from the studio fails to accurately describe the movie, leading us to believe we watched something totally different. This week, we decided to really play that up in our version of Brass Monkey’s “Poorly Explained Movies Game.’Check us out on...Twitter @TSMoviePodFacebook: Time SensitiveInstagram: @timesensitivepodcastGrab some Merch at TeePublicBig Heads Media
