Unit 9 is about the modern age from 1980s to the present. You will learn about the Reagan revolution. You’ll analyze the changes in the broader global economy. You will see how this impacted the economy in positive and negative ways. And, you will see how we are dealing with the twin issues of terrorism and Global Warming. You will get the big examples you need for the AP test. You can listen to this in the car, on the bus or out on your run. Because…remember…you have a lot to do and not much time to do it in!!
Unit 8 is the Cold War, the 1950s, the 1960s movements, and the Vietnam War. You will learn about the key battles and events of the Communist v. Capitalist global fight. You’ll see how the domestic side of the US grew in prosperity. But you will also the limits in racial and gender inequalities. You will see how the problems of conformity and the Vietnam War all led up to major protests.  You will get the big examples you need for the AP test. Unit 9 is all about Globalization and the end of the AP World curriculum. This podcast will cover the reasons for why Globalization happened.
