In today’s episode, we talk about the real power of community-led change , starting with supporting our youth. I share why simple, localized actions like hiring young people from our own neighborhoods and choosing to shop at small, family-owned businesses can make a big difference in addressing youth unemployment at the grassroots level. We dive into how these everyday choices strengthen our local economy, empower young leaders, and build a more connected community where everyone thrives. And before we wrap up… we celebrate our #TorontoBlueJays and cheer them on as they chase their journey to the #WorldSeries!Tune in, be inspired, and let’s make an impact right where we live!
Youth unemployment in Canada remains a pressing challenge, with rates consistently higher than the national average. In this episode, we explore two key drivers, economic factors like slow growth and shifting labour demands, and social factors such as lack of experience, limited networks, and barriers to entry. Join me as we unpack how these forces shape young people’s job prospects and what can be done to turn the tide.

EP Fourteen is a reflective monologue in which I share with you my thoughts on what is happening in our society. As a PODCAST focussed on "building communities," it is our responsibility to talk about the importance of building communities free of racism. Yes, this topic might make many people uncomfortable; however, we have to address it. We have to come to a mutual understanding that a BLACK PERSON's skin colour should never be HIS / HER death sentence.
