Intended for beginners and for those hoping to feel the work and see if it resonates, this is a beginner level practice that can be experienced standing, on the floor, or seated in a chair. ***Somatic Yoga Therapy is a psychosomatic yoga therapy practice that creates space for body-centered wholistic healing through the 5 layers of the self, referred to as Kosha: physical, emotional, energetic, spiritual, and wisdom. Offered as an accredited 1,000-HR Yoga Therapist Training, Somatic Yoga Therapy honors the original teachings of yoga, sharing authentic Somatic knowledge that has its origins in Ayurveda, Thai Yoga Massage, and the yoga lineage of Krishnamacharya. Modern and western information is taught in parallel so that the teaching is shared in a safe, ethical, and trauma-informed manner. ***Mandorla Yoga Institute offers Somatic Yoga Therapist Training through hybrid learning. Students enrolled in each module complete the majority of their coursework online with 2 in-person trainings that occur in Calgary, AB, once each Fall and Spring. We also provide foundational training for those who do not have a yoga background that can be completed entirely online. This recording of the Ganesh mantra is recorded for you intentionally with a recitation of the mantra 12 times. This is how I personally chant Ganesh Mantra, pausing each time after 12 recitations to reflect and add my own prayer. I do this full cycle nine times in a row so that the chant is recited a total of 108 times. Please complete with the chant OM Shanti Shanti to close. This is a powerful chant for moving through your own personal obstacles. My personal reflection that I integrate within this chant is the following phrase, open doorways for me and remove the obstacles from my path. I chant this mantra every year at the start of winter solstice for a period of 40 days, but you can also so this at the onset of the summer solstice. ☀️
