In This week's episode of the No More Interruptions podcast I chat with Amanda Kirkland who is a Personal Growth Coach, yoga-junkie, shopping-fiend to rival Julia Roberts, obsessive dog lover, and a secret Demo/Reno expert. She came to the conclusion that my lived experience, both personal and professional, could help other women (and a few men) struggling with dysfunctional relationships. If you've never tried Coaching before...  It changes everything. In a matter of months. Her own journey, she experienced more personal, physical, and mental shifts than in over twenty years of traditional talk therapy. She now helps others learn to live (and love) their lives without "the problem" they’ve been experiencing for years (because that luggage is far too heavy!).  If you've got the weight of the world on your shoulders connect with Amanda Kirkland Email:  amanda@amandakirkland.com IG: @amandakirklandcoach Website: https://www.amandakirkland.com Let’s be social media friends Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/bgi_podcast/  Email: biggirlinterrupted@gmail.com

What a great conversation with Shanique from HSB Wellness, in this week's episode we talk about how self-doubt can be depleting and how self-care routines can be hard to keep up when you are in a doubtful headspace. It's like feeling empty while being full. However, self-doubt is often unblocked by a self-care routine that we stick to--a routine that fills you up and makes you feel taken care of. A Healthy self-care routine becomes an act of empowerment because it gives you the chance to fill up your own cup first. From this overflow, you are able to give more selflessly to others. So, self-doubt doesn't have to be a relationship killer--it can be the fuel that helps you create a stronger bond with yourself so that you can show up more fully for others. So often we are told to love others before ourselves, but what does that really mean? And why is it important to love ourselves first? When we love ourselves, we create positive habits and behaviors. We are more motivated to take care of our bodies and minds, and we develop better self-discipline and focus. We become more patient and understanding with those around us. We set clearer boundaries and intentions. In short, when we love ourselves first, we are better able to show up for the world in a loving way. So next time you find yourself putting others first, remember that it all starts with self-love. Take a step back and give yourself the care and attention you need.
