Our primary focus is on community building and the celebration of local achievements. Recognizing the substantial contributions of women in business, we aim to amplify their hard work and dedication by providing a platform that highlights their accomplishments. Through a supportive network, we strive to create an inclusive space where everyone, regardless of background, can thrive and be acknowledged for their valuable contributions. In line with our dedication to community empowerment, we have established a meaningful initiative to give back. We are proud to introduce a grant specifically designed for women in business, with the intention of fostering community development. My name is Katie Bradley and I am co-owner of Well Lit. I first began agricultural work when I was 10 years old working on various farms growing up in Presque Isle, Maine. My passion for learning more about the living world was further cultivated when I went to college for Biology at the University of Maine in Orono and then earned my masters as a Physician Assistant in Boston. I worked as a surgical physician assistant for 4 years in Southern Maine until I was diagnosed with a life-threatening auto-immune disease. When Western Medicine failed to reduce my symptoms, a combination of cannabis, integrative medicine and nutrition proved essential to achieving my optimal state of health. My work in the Maine Cannabis Community began by providing medical certifications to patients. I then helped research and develop therapeutic cannabinoid profiles and ratios for a medical cannabis company. This all led me to start Well Lit with my phenomenal wife Paisley! For fun, I am a singer/ songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. If I had to choose a favorite instrument it would be the d’jembe. I love reggae music, funky beats and harmonies! Through my own journey I have reaped the benefits of cannabinoid medicine and I’m so excited to share this knowledge with all of you! Well Lit is a physician assistant, queer women owned medically licensed cannabis company based in Southern Maine.  Our focus is to empower patients with knowledge of cannabis and hemp to help them discover the right balance of medicine for themselves.  We focus on cultivating 1:1 THC: CBD ratio flower that provides patients with the positive attributes of cannabis while decreasing anxiety or paranoia.  "Weed Without the Wierd" Discussed this week: Doing college, patient perspectives, RSO heart wipe, growing, having an autoimmune disease, Hurkle, growing near a greyhound, weed without the weird, balanced medleys, Miley Cyrus, Pennywise preroll, salty snacks, the right grind, quality control, prerolls to order, one to one ratios of THC to CBD, feeling even keeled, Seattle chronic seed, Durbin Poison, Verins G, medicinal attributes, we'd as breakfast, one to one is for everyone, dose dependent, Revelry, paranoia’s origins, the fear center, the amgydila, brother burn cruse, Happy Pride, Christine, shotgunning smoke, edibles and smoking, RSO gummies, flavonoids taking a one month break for a drug test, starting in college, illness is not a moral issue, feeling functional, functional medicine, being a steward of medicine and a musician at heart,  percentage chasers, collective pharmaceuticals, community stigmas, changing stigma, well lit meaning balanced and educational, and more! --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/potluckypodcast/support

We went to the wonderful land of Oz, Baybeeeee! Just a fun little way to pass the time with a good pal. Try this at home, or at a friend's house, and see how far you can get through the alphabet before you forget what you were doing entirely. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/potluckypodcast/support

Justin and I volunteered at the Naine Women's Connection event Sparkle and Soul this past weekend. In an effort to further support these radical ladies, I went around asking people their favorite word for weed. In hindsight, I would also have asked them something they do to take care of their mental health, but mistakes are how we learn the best lessons. We're working on batch recording the back half of season 8, and we'll be going on hiatus for about a month after the next episode so we can refocus and strategies for PortFringe and other game show experience!
