Sorry to say but we have some issues with Christmas. And not the caroling or the spirit of giving, but with those who subvert it for their own gains. Yep, capitalism is spoiling Christmas, and the culture war around Christmas is apart of the grander plan to keep us distracted from the real issues.
Just a little train of thought I had the other day regarding roommates and what one should consider when living in such a state of shared housing and various resources.
Well 2022 is finally here and its time to take on this year with a new attitude and perspective. As the title suggests this year we should effectively not give a flying F&ck this year and make this year ours. Now I'm not talking about being indifferent to the things around us, I'm talking about caring about the really important stuff and letting the dumb stuff just fly away. Cause what is really doing the best of not giving a f&ck if we aren't advancing and achieving in the process. This practice will change how you handle people, your job, your habits, and so so much more.
Well what can I say? Due to decades of indifference towards working level and entry level employees, stagnant wages and management mistreatment has resulted in a "surprising" shortage of labor in certain industries. Now some may want you to believe that this is due to laziness and slacking. However, how long would you be willing to work for starving wages as others seem to just get more and more, and I'm refering to the Kochs, the Waltons, the Cargils, the Sacklers, and the Bezos and Musks of this country. They've played us against each other for decades, and now is the time to have a brief silence, ponder, look around, and realize who the real enemies of we the people are.
Obligations in relationships can be tough subject to navigate. Between monetary obligations, to emotional support, to some social obligations built into our culture: how do we know what to follow and what to leave behind? That’s a touch postulation to contend with but doing so has untold benefits for your mental, physical, and emotional health.
Given how some ideologies can be overly vague, it is pertinent that people know how to take them to their logical conclusions. But of course this does come with the Rabbit Hole warning label.
Hello I'm back, and I'm ready to discuss all that matters in this day and age. This week I will be covering what I see in our current Education System and ways that I think it can be remedied. Of course this is no small feet and would require the effort of us all in order to achieve. Don't think that this will just fix overnight: there is much to be done.
Whether it’s wardrobe, cologne/perfume, transportation, or even the small touches we do to prepare: getting ready for a night out should be taken seriously if you want to truly cut loose. Arranging transport for if you want to get tipsy, donning the right threads for the event, or even dressing in a way that lets you look and feel good: Prepping for success is the first step to achieving it, no matter what your goals are.
This will be the first in a series I am going to post regarding dating advice and even socialization advice. This comes after a year of social distancing and even analyzing some of the toxic social norms that make it difficult or even painful to want to open up to socialize and meet new people.
Little nostalgia trip for you guys but I find myself missing the old days when Jak and Daxter, Sly Cooper, and Ratchet & Clank kept me entertained and made me compete against my own best times. With the rise of reimaginings, rebranding, and even remakes, I think we all would appreciate a rise in new original content and storylines that can distract and entertain us. However, there's a few things to unpack first...
With national focus and even internet focus going around sex trafficing and sex crimes, I wanted to take a closer view at what we may consider a certain sector of sex crimes to be. Particularly I want to draw attention to context and intricacies around certain scenarios that may be less nefarious than the general view may think of them
Effects, screenwriters, actors, and even the directors that lead everything: movies have an amazing effect on culture and representation as a whole. However, what tends to be overlooked and what may or may not be what makes some pictures flops or blockbusters?
This is a intro on how meditation can be helpful to your mental health as well as help keep perspective on what’s happening in your life.
As an avid motorcycle rider I feel I should inform you guys about the costs and situations that we riders have to deal with. This ranges from regular motorist maybe not being fully aware of us to even misconceptions and even behaviors done by other riders that gave the responsible ones like myself a really bad name.
Much like Facebook and public roadways nothing is ever truly free. Facebook floods us with ads and our tax dollars pay to make sure the roads aren’t fully littered with potholes. But what about the cost of free pornography? Well it turns out the cost may be a lot more severe than you may think, and if not to us the consumer then to those who are possibly forced to comply and create the content that you consume.
With Covid-19 coming to a slow down in certain states and the warmer seasons upon us, recreation and enjoyment is sure to be on a lot of people's minds in the coming months. With that coming as well as the plethora of "nothing" we've been doing the past year, I wanted to think about when productive recreation can be and how we may go about achieving it. This includes vacations, weekends from work (hopefully not at Bernie's), and of course just times we have for ourselves.
Oftentimes we find ourselves caught wondering if our innate thoughts in response to observations are instincts of warning or toxic assumptions. The line of separation is logical reasoning: instincts are typically based on past experiences backed up by evidence, whereas assumptions are often cleared up with context. While too much second thinking may open you up to rationalizing behaviors you think at first blush as toxic, never offering up your thoughts to context will lead down a path of ignance (ignorance may be changed by choice of education, ignance is willing choice to never evolve).
Why is it that everyone has to somehow be a CEO in order to afford a decent living? We have politicians that are able to vote on their own salary increases but whenever minimum wage is debated they decides while we are left at their mercy. Don't buy the corporate excuses about how giving people enough pay to afford rent and food would "destroy" our economy. Me being paid $15 an hour to wash dishes didn't bankrupt the restaurant where I got my first job, so I'm sure the Sacklers, the Cargills, the Kochs, and the Waltons can afford the cut in profits.
With the current issues we face as a country: Medical care being a deadly trap we all want to avoid, education not setting us up for success, and how economic and civic education can break oppressive systems. The question is, how can we take historic lessons, contemporary perspectives, and a collective consensus to action to make real progressive change?
Pets can be a rich source of support for us humans, as judges of character and for emotional stability. Certain games that I am found of have been rather helpful in keeping entertained and could get a huge boost. Also, is anyone else was ticked as I am that we still have people who don’t want to learn from the spikes in Covid infection rates due to noncompliance with public health measures?
